Get this thing!
Few products work as instantly, accurately, and quickly, with almost zero setup & config. This thing is fast. My mind is still boggled. Anything with a 1/4” out - from a Bass to a Mic - instantly becomes MIDI. Either pitch-bend, or snap-to chromatic. Recommend iConnect and Roland Sound Canvas for iPad. Get all 3 and play anything with anything. This is what we’ve dreamed about, but has been science fiction until now. Any noticeable latency you get will be due to your software setup etc. This thing is fast enough and expressive enough (including volume control) to actually be played on stage. Bravo. 5 stars.

With some practice, it works
The fact I can play my Blofeld with my guitar is awesome. However it’s definitely not perfect - you have to change the way you play to make it work (play more choppily) and it takes some practice. It’s kinda expensive for what it does, but I’m happy overall

Very bad latency
The latency and tracking on this unit were very bad, and would absolutely be unusable in a live setting. Also, it's monophonic. I could deal with that if the tracking was better. Notes would be in random octaves, and it did not seem to matter which of the internal settings I used. I tested this unit with a 4 string bass and a 6 string guitar, both in standard tuning. I also tested powering the unit with a AA battery, and did a separate test with a 9 volt adapter. This did not change the performance of the tracking or latency in either case.Unfortunately, I can not recommend this unit.

Difficult to rate
This product is difficult to rate because how well it works depends on so many other factorsMy experience with it was, if I wanted to only activate pads or play really slow melodies, it worked great. But I wanted to be able to do those things AND I wanted to play fast melodies. The latency was really noticeable when playing fast melodies. Again, I don't like to put this product down because it is amazing that something like this exists. I am now experimenting with another product. The Midi Guitar 2 from Jam Origin. This is a plug in. ($99) Yes a plug in. After only a few hours using the product, I find it to be way ahead of the Sonuus. My next experiment will be with the Fishman Triple play. I am on the hunt for the best way to activate my MIDI instruments via guitar so I have to try everything.

Buen producto

It works for me
It works about as good as I needed it to be. I use it for sax, using a pickup mounted on the neck of my horn. I use it with a Roland XV-2020 synth, with a special windcontroller sound bank installed. It tracks very nicely, although some patches work better than others. Overall it's a great tool and it has become a permanent part of my setup. Considering it's converting an audio signal to digital, it works amazingly well in my setup. I'm ordering a second unit, to have a unit for home use.

Fun toy, but useless and overpriced.
This product is pretty cool and unique at first, its definitely the cheapest guitar-midi device on the market. Even though it's not polyphonic it's pretty fun to play around with.Problem is that in the end this is nothing more than a novelty toy, even with the switches set up and optimal clean guitar playing the latency is so bad that it would be useless for studio or live use.

Disappointing with bass guitar!
I am a bass guitar player that also plays analog synth bass, I was hoping this device would enable me to not have to switch back and forth between my bass and the keyboard controller, also was hoping that I could have the synth double my bass playing for some songs. Unfortunately this device completely fails at both applications! I tried all the recommendations on their web site for note recognition and reducing glitchiness including changing the pitch bend range on the synth to 2 semitones, turning the tone control down, making sure my bass was properly intonated and in tune as well as making sure all the dip switches were set properly, which made it work better but did not completely eliminate the glitchiness, frequent wrong notes or right note but wrong octave. I really wanted this device to work but just could not make it do so with either of my main basses. Even slow whole notes would glitch and occasionally play wrong notes. There is no way I could use this on live gigs so I sent it back.I gave it two stars because it does seem to be constructed well and it probably works much better with guitar, it did respond better above the 12th fret of my basses but still not well enough to be usable. I also noticed it worked a bit better with my Stingray 5 than my Ibanez EBH 1505, so maybe it would be great with the right bass?
