It casts like a dream and when it hits the water you can quickly get it ripping a large noisy wake to get reaction strikes. Some of the cheaper ones are finicky about rod tip and retrieval speed to get a good noisy wake but this thing just starts going like and outboard motor. I bought a different color and liked it so much I came back and bought this in black. If you like bass you will like this lure. Review: Good lure! - These just plain catch fish. They can get snagged up on weeds just below the surface, but that's to be expected with treble hooks hanging down. My personal favorite color is "loon." I'm not quite sure how much color plays a role in how well they work though.
