THIS STUFF WORKS...just follow the instructions!
If there is anyone out there who is skeptical of whether or not this product works, let me tell you my story: I have a 12,000 gallon above ground pool here is FLA. We get a good amount of pool water evaporation due to the sun and heat, but recently,I noticed a disconcerting, almost daily drop in the water levels several weeks ago tht based on my knowledge of my pool, was not normal. I am on a very tight budget and I did not want to go through a major plumbing dig out since the pool was only recently totally renovated. I read all the reviews of this and other similar products, but the history and acknodledged performance of this product seemed to say this was the one to at least try. Thank goodness I did. I bought the two bottle version, followed the instructions to a "T" and crossed my fingers. After the recommended wait time once the product was introduced to the suction plumbing and drains,I watched carefully for any further drop in the pool water level. To my great surprise.....it was apparent that the leaking stopped....not just slowed, but STOPPED! I have now been monitoring the levels since I started (about 2 weeks now) and I swear, I think the water level actually ROSE! So far, I have noticed ZERO water level drop. I did what was recommended as far as bottom sweeping any product that settled there to allow it to be picked up by my skimmer (this takes several days to disappear...be patient) and recirculate through the pipes. Each time there was less and less visaible product on the bottom and believe will all will be gone soon so I can clean my pleated filter). So...bottom line is FOR MY POOL, this was a near miracle cure. I will keep up a regimine on a regular bais...perhaps six months....to assure that the leak remains "clotted". Problem solved.

Buy it!
Before calling your local pool company, read the reviews and further instructions on the website. This just may be for you!My pool had developed a suction leak and I was losing about 1/2 a day when the pump wasn't running. My 30k gallon pool is on a 4 hr timer twice a day. My salt levels were getting off more and more as tike passed. Small bits of Algae was clinging to a few features in the pool.Around the beginning of the season I noticed I was getting some bubbles from my return jets and my pump lid had some air trapped in the top. Changed my filter media and checked all the connections on my saltwater system. No dice. As the season went on, my leak got more sever and my pump had a hard time staying primed. After buying a leak detection kit and making my own skimmer leak plug, I verified my worst fears- a suction line leak.My pool is old and built on the side of a mountain, all of my concrete is reinforced with heavy rebar. Cutting part of the concrete out wasn't an option.I read the reviews and took a gamble....and it paid off! I skipped the closed loop procedure and tried the direct skimmer pour route which the website stated worked 75% of the time.I set my filter to bypass, and turned the pump off. Heated the sealing solution in hot water for 15 minutes and poured 1/2 of the bottle directly into the skimmer. I ran to the pump and turned it on for (2) 1 second bursts. After sucking the solution into the return line, I poured the rest of the bottle in.I stuffed a small towel into the slimmer strainer to keep any sealant from coming back thru. The sealant is heavier than water so it should sink on into the skimmer line and plug whatever leak is going on.I left my system off for 3 1/2 days. Verified the pump was on bypass and fired it up. No air bubbles! I ran my dolphin for 24 hrs and switched the valve back to filter. (You dint want this stuff in your sand media) ensure your pool bottom is clean and clear of the little sealant balls that fall to the bottom.Saved me a lot of frustration and money. Bought a 2 pack and have a bottle to stash back. Owning an older pool has made me a pool pro. After converting to saltwater my life has been easy-peezy. It got even easier after a $45 dollar product saved me thousands!!!

Not very effective in sealing pool leaks
I bought and used these many many times and does not seal leaks permanently that you end up buying this product over and over again $$$ and repeat the recommended process of recirculating the pump, following the recommended procedure etc . And still after a few weeks it’s gonna leak again.

Why pay someone to seal your pool
This is some great stuff. Follow directions and you can't go wrong

Not Recommended for Spa/Hot Tub
I would not recommend this product for repairing small hot tub/spa leaks ... there was only a very small leak in the tubing, so the water being displaced daily was very minimal. I applied product as stated in the directions, and used 3 of the larger sized bottles because my spa is a larger one. It would temporarily stop the leak, but there was never any permanent seal formed. Every time I would turn on the spa/hot tub jets; the temporary seal would get dislodged and the small leak would resume. This product may work better for a pool if the water flow is very sedentary, but it was utterly useless and nothing but a waste of money for a spa/hot tub with high pressure water flowing through tubing to jets. At the end of the day, the only permanent solution remedy I found involved the liberal application of marine epoxy, combined with an application of liquid plastic/silicon (made by fixaleak).
