Heavenly for pc gaming from the couch
This is my second one, as the wrist pad on my first wore out after about a year and a half. I can't recommend them enough, it's the only one I'll buy. There is plenty of surface area for a mouse and keyboard (I use it to game on my tv). The beanbag like padding underneath is very comfortable and the wrist wrest has the right mix of firmness and flexibility. Also it goes across nearly the entire length of the tray which is a plus. 5 stars.

Excellent
This is an excellent lap pad to use when sitting in a chair. It is large enough that I can read and put my note pad next to it and take notes.I love it!!!

The perfect lap desk
Finally, a lap desk that has all the features I want and is the perfect size. I have a larger laptop and this fits it well with room for the mouse. It has a wrist rest that keeps the mouse from sliding off all the time. It fits perfectly between the arm rests of my recliner for gaming sessions, and has separate slots for my phone and tablet. The pads on the bottom keep my legs from getting hot so I don't have to use a pillow with it.

Very light and comfortable. Perfect size. But 'mousepad' PU material not ideal for optical mice.
The cushion on the underside is very comfortable on the lap. The space between the cushions actually does help ventilate the lap area and keeps it cooler and less sweaty. It's made of soft linen style fabric and filled with what feels like beanbag material (small soft foam balls). The wrist cushion is comfortable in certain positions. The inside is a semi-firm foam block covered in the same linen style fabric as the underside. After about 300 hours of use, the foam has visible dimples where my wrists usually go. It's still comfortable though. Also, helps keep the laptop and wireless mouse from sliding off when tilting the whole thing at a sharp angle. The plastic slots at the top of the desk/tray are useful to hold small things you don't want to slide around. Pens, snacks, phones, etc... I wish it had come with some sort of a foam block or something to reduce the depth. It's great for general storage of the phone in an upright position so you can see incoming notification, or video chat with someone, but it's too deep to prop the phone for watching movies due to some of the screen being covered up. It's about 1 inch deep. I found that putting a small rolled up napkin or some other such object solves the issue. The top surface of the desk/tray is covered in a solid fake leather PU (Polyurethane). The benefit of this is that it does not deform with heat (from the bottom of the laptop for example). The downside is that it's not completely smooth. It has leather-like dimples. This doesn't play nice with optical mice. Dragging the mouse smoothly across the surface will have the cursor jumping/lagging a few millimeters constantly. This is ok for light browsing, but definitely not ok for gaming or any other precision task. I purchased a separate high quality mousepad to lay on top of the area. This will also not work for drawing or writing. Another downside of the PU material is that once it starts to wear, the oils from the hand coupled with the constant rubbing from the mouse make the mouse glide less and less smooth. It tends to stick to the surface very regularly and the friction is noticeably increased over longer use sessions.Overall, I would recommend this lap desk/tray for anyone who wants to use a laptop in bed / chair / couch. Also suitable for putting together small puzzles or holding up a book.

worth the purchase!
I use this all the time sitting on the couch. the pockets for the phone or tablet aren't great. but it works. I wish they were at an angle so they didnt fall forward. but it is what it is. i dont use it for that. I use it for my gaming laptop while i am on the couch and its perfect. i have a 15 inch alienware and use a slim cooling tray under the laptop that can hold an 18inch laptop. there is still room for a mouse on the side. (not a ton of room, but enough to game). The foam wrist pads are ok. after a while they squish down, but thats expected. if you are looking to use this for work or gaming, i dont think you will be dissapointed. just be aware that 18 inch laptops may not leave a lot of room for the mouse. 17inch or smaller is legit!! dont think, just buy!

Padding Fades with time, faster with daily use.
Biggest Problem: the material used in the padding is made of foam beads. One review said "beanbag" -- it's quite accurate. And for a long time, it was fine. I don't know how long it should last, but about 18 months in (of daily use) it is completely worn down.Overall it's a good lap desk, the size is good for a 17" inch laptop, fits fine still with room to use a mouse (it's a little tight, about 6 inches of space remain for the mouse.)I bought 2 of them 5 months apart. The other one, which gets less frequent use is not as worn. If you don't plan to use it every day it may work for you. I have no complaints outside of the padding.

Love this. Well made.

Very Large.
I wanted a large lap table, and this really is perfect. It has a slight decline which is OK, but it makes it a no option placement. I would have preferred a pillow type support so I could adjust it as necessary, but it's good as it is for the most part. It's slightly heavy since it so big.
