Chain broke in 4 months
Installed on 2008 CTS 3.6 VVT. Bank 1 chain broke and I am hoping I don’t have valve damage since it happened at idle. This is the second Cloyes chain that has broke on this car. The other was the primary though. These chains are all made in China in the same factory I would guess. The box did say made in China. The same kit sold at the local ORiellys said the same.

Don't buy
I bought this and now I am doing it again but to the fact that the guides broke into pieces fell into the oil pan and jumped time and bent 4 valves. I am using ac delco that's the oem part.

Disappointed by it worked.
I bought this kit because I’ve used cloyes in my race car and never had a problem. Upon opening I found one guide was broken In the package. Half the guides are completely plastic where as the factory are metal. The chains may be quality but the parts with it were not. I had to reuse one of the original guides. Luckily it was still in good shape and not ate up from the chain wearing into it. I wouldn’t by this kit again. I’d buy the chains with tensioners and buy factory guides.

Just like other reviews, rear chain broke at about 5000 miles
Should have read other reviews, looks like a problem with chains breaking under 5000 miles.probably won't try cloyes chains in other projects/ its too far to go back a second time.Used an AC Delco one this time.
