RobotDyn - WeMos D1 R2, WiFi D1 R2 Integration of ESP8266 + 32Mb Flash, Form-Factor for Arduino Uno R3

I'm constantly amazed at the quality and low price for these boards. Wifi works well. I loved getting the extra pins so I can get a lower profile by having the cable plugs not stick up so high as they do with the built in pin sockets.Arduino IDE has configuration for this board style built in.

Can't get it to work with Arduino ide

I can't get it to work. No answers from support yet. No documentation included with it. The links to documentation on their web site are dead so there is nothing there. I tried for quite a while. Installed the correct driver and it's working. Loaded the generic EP8266 board support but don't see this board listed there. So no idea which one to choose. I tried a bunch of them including generic and WeMos but nope...nothing will talk. Get this message: espcomm_upload_mem failedMay just be missing something simple. If I figure it out I will update this.

I really like this board. I have bought a few of them now. The wifi is so easy to incorporate in your script. The only hiccup is you must refer to the pins as D2 rather that 2.

I only bought one of these, but I found that the USB connection is a bit loose. This makes it hard to load. The built in WiFi antenna is very poor, make sure you add one unless you are right near your station.Other than that, the board seems to function okay.

I wish I could give this negative stars. Wouldn't work even after burning the bootloader. Absolute trash! No support at all.

WiFi is simply amazing; no dropouts or interface using only the on-board WiFi antenna. For documentation try Google search "ESP8266 RobotDyn WiFi D1 (or WeMos WiFi D1)" My project is 1300+ lines of code with multiple files written and read from SPIFFS (NAND flash memory on board.) RobotDyn WiFi D1 is used for the project.
