Hongdian 920 White Fountain Pen, Rose Gold Plated Medium Nib Smooth Writing Pen, Classic Pen with Ink Converter

Took a chance because I bought the Hongdian N8 with the long blade nib and generally liked it. That pen wrote a bit on the dry side and I thought it might have been due to the nib, so I bought this one with the M nib. Love the coffee color and paired it with Robert Oster Caffe Crema. The pen is thin, but I like it because I have small hands. I have a photo with other pens for size comparison, and you can see it compared with Ferris Wheel Press's brush satin fountain pen. I have to say, the Hongdian writes smoother and lighter. The flow is nice and wet, and the pen's glossy finish is simple and sleek. Time will tell how it takes a beating, but at least my wallet will not.Side note: I did a quick flush of the nib when I first received it and cleaned out a bit of ink. I'm thinking maybe it means this pen was tested before it was sold, which made me hopeful of its quality before I wrote with it. So glad it worked out :)

I do a lot of writing by hand and I have a slight obsession with colored ink. I have a number of gel pens, but find that many of them skip long before they run out of ink. I found a lot of time on my hands when I broke my foot a year ago and ordered my first fountain pen along with ink cartridges and bottled ink. The first two pens I picked up have very fine tips and I wanted something a little heavier. This pen is perfect. I first used it with the ink cartridges and it wrote very well, is well balanced, and doesn't leak. I've since started filling the converter with bottled ink and find it handles the different inks I have now purchased rather well. I've contemplated buying more expensive fountain pens but I like the slim and sleek look and feel of this pen. It's a superb pen for the price!

I am Very picky about my pens. I love writing, but I need ease, comfort, and No leaking. I purchased 10 pens and kept 3, two were this style (one in black and one white).I really need Very Fine tips this one is great, and smooth, not scratchy, and if filled properly does not leak or blob ink. I also have small hands (size 4 ring finger) so most pens are either too fat or too heavy, which is truly why this pen Easily Won out over the others.I also Love the accent touch of rose gold color to give that touch of elegance and just enough weight to give it that expensive feel.Plus since I use the converter it’s the ultimate Earth friendly. No more throwing out half used pens because they leak or explode or stop working.. or just going through the number of pens I go through. And I do still have fountain pens from high school when I first started using them in Art.In fact it is more likely that I will with loose or damage this pen long before it would stop working!Oh, as a note to any new users, please be sure to periodically clean out fountain pens as the ink can dry or cake on the inside tip so it’s a good idea to do this. I have a cleaning solution that I use with converter.

Writes smooth and ink flows nicely through it. My only complaint is the pen has a smooth polished barrel where you hold it and if you have any lotion or perspiration on your hands they will slide down it making constant adjustments needed. Nice finish and overall good pen for the price though!!

I received this pen yesterday, so I'll change my review if necessary- but this is a great little pen! Thin and classy, writes fluidly and well, not a scratchy nib. I've used it both on cheap legal pads and Rhodia, and it writes well on both. I've only used a Diamine ink in it thus far, but no flow issues. The built-in piston is a little touchy, and not the highest quality, but it works and feeds fine once you've gotten it loaded. A great, fairly inexpensive first fountain pen for adults, and a good one to play around with inks with, without fearing monetary loss if you "mess it up."

Beautiful Pen. Not too heavy. The issue is it writes thicker than other EF nibs. In fact I love the Hong Dian brand. Very elegant, good quality, not plastic cheap like other Chinese brands.

This is a slim pen, but I have small hands and love it. The nib itself is smooth with no feedback that I notice. (I dislike feedback.) I recommend this one for anyone looking for a budget fountain pen that won't disappoint.

Put some nice purple ink into it to match the color of the pen itself, I've never had any issues with the flow or anything and the pen is a very nice build quality. Would absolutely recommend.

Metal pen, excellent weight. If you are like me and hate resin pens, give a Hong Dian a try. Click-on lid feels very secure. Lid pushed onto barrel and feels secure. Nicely balanced, very comfortable to write with. I immediately put Noodler's Ink in this pen, no washing or anything. Flow was instant.I am very impressed with this pen.Comes with a little velvet pouch but it left black fuzz all over my pen.EDIT TO ADD: I had this pen capped and sitting for a month or five weeks. I tried another pen (brand: Jinhao) that sat alongside: would not write. I tried my HongDian: WROTE FLAWLESSLY AFTER A MONTH.Get this pen, you will be pleased.

Beau stylo mais malheureusement pas compatible avec des cartouches d'encre. Les cartouches ne s'accrochent pas ! C'est un stylo qui s'utilise avec une pompe à encre. Autant le savoir !

Escribe con una suavidad extraordinaria. El plumin es F. La he tenido sin escribir 15 dias y cuando reanude la escritura el trazo era uniforme y continuo.Muy buena pluma, poco pesada y muy agradable en la mano.
