Got my DLE dog off antibiotics!
My pups face was covered in weird lesion type things last July. Biopsies revealed she has DLE (skin lupus). Had been on antibiotics to suppress her immune system since then and it killed me having her on them for sooo long but every time I tried to wean her off, the lesions would return. Now, she gets this stuff twice a day for a few months now and no lesions and no antibiotics! It’s expensive for 45 days worth but not having her on antibiotics indefinitely is giving her a longer life, I’m sure of it.

Seems to Work
I have been giving this to my dog for about three weeks now, and it seems to be helping. I sprinkle one teaspoon over her kibble once a day. My dog is a 90 pound pit bull and that is the recommended dose for her size. She has allergies and very sensitive skin, so any help with that is much appreciated! Granted, this supplement is not the only treatment I am giving her, because her hives and sores were getting pretty serious. So the best I can say is it seems to be helping, in conjunction with antifungal shampoos, oatmeal poultice, and allergy pills.

Too expensive for the same results.
I got this for my dog with liver issues. Her levels have a tendency to jump and a hard time remaining stable by themselves. I have had her on milk thistle supplements for years now and that does help. But I thought I would give this SP supplement a try. While I saw no decline or adverse reaction, I didn’t see any noticeable difference that would justify the high cost either. Her liver levels were about the same and no new skin growths emerged. But I could achieve that same result with milk thistle alone. So I don’t think this supplement is really worth it. That’s not to say that my dog didn’t enjoy taking it and that it doesn’t have its benefits. It’s just way overpriced.

big bottle and high quality powder
really big bottle and smells quite meaty, so very alluring to the dogs. seems to be doing a lot of good for their skin so far. can with a small scoop, and i just add it into their food.
