Not a proper fitting gasket for the exhaust pipe I ordered
This was my bad. But I did want to say something just in case someone else did what I did. I ordered this gasket along with the Walker 52241 exhaust pipe for my 1997 Honda Civic three door hatchback because it appeared to be the proper gasket for that pipe. It was among the list of "Customers that ordered" the pipe also ordered this...While the one end of the pipe is shaped like the gasket (the end that attaches to the catalytic converter/exhaust manifold part), the bolt hole alignment is off. The holes in the gasket are too far from center to work properly. I shaved the holes towards the center in order to get it to work. Once I did that, it worked and made a good seal. From the old exhaust pipe, it appears a ring gasket is the proper part for this pipe. Looking over other recommended parts, I am not sure which one is proper. I do like the quality of this gasket, though.
