My elderly father uses these for his sore back and hip. The heat helps the muscles relax and hurt less. Because of his age, most heat patches have to be applied to his clothes and not his skin. To treat his back, that means most patches have to be stuck on the back of his shirt or pants. These patches have bands that wrap around the waist so he can easily put them on and take them off by himself. He does not have to worry about sticking them to the correct spot, they can be adjusted side to side by sliding them one way or the other. They don't smell and have not ever fallen off. He is a size 34 waist and they fit well. The heated area is large and covers most of his back. So far all of the patches in the five boxes have worked without any duds.

love these things! And they are very affordable. Sometimes at night I have such pain in my lower back from post C-section that it's hard for me to get comfortable. The heating pad doesn't work because you have to shift around while you sleep and you can't really wake up and move it around but this thermacare stay in place. I get the extra large and I can wear it like a belt around my back, hips and sleep comfortably and it works the entire night! I love these instant heat patches. No Menthol, no smell. The second you open up it activates it and it starts getting hot and you just stick it on your back or wherever you need it. There's a sticking on each side and it literally stays on you. It does not come off. And it is good for 12 hours and it is such A relief especially when you're Post c section back pain. I used every time when my back feels stiff and tense before I start my period. I wish this was much affordable other than this is excellent product. It’s compact and easy for traveling. Quality is excellent. Highly recommended !

nice and comfortable. good way to heal back

This has been the first time I've needed help for muscle pain in my body. It started on my 85th birthday. (HMMMM.) This pain was sudden and nearly instant and almost unbearable. I happened to see this product on Amazon and ordered it. It came the next day and I was SO surprised ~~~ It actually worked! And worked WELL! The pain was GONE! I've ordered a second box in case this recurs. So I'm pleased to share this info with other sufferers. I hope you all have the same wonderful response to this product.

I started using these in the hospital for pain and purchased more after discharge. They take ~ 20 min to get fully warm but last me 8-12 hrs. I use them direct on skin or over clothing depending on what I’m wearing and doing. I highly recommend.

I have near constant sciatic pain. These help A LOT. The belt design is different than stick on patches. I’m not totally sold on that, but they get hot.
