The DVR does the job of recording from multiple cameras and is easy to use once set up. It’s been reliable with clear footage and no lag, even with multiple cameras running. My only concern is that the menu navigation feels dated, and it lacks some of the smart features I’ve seen on newer systems. It’s an affordable and effective option if you need basic recording functionality.

I’ve been using the 1080P 2MP 16 Channel DVR Recorder from the Real HD Store to support a somewhat old CCTV camera system in a busy warehouse, and it has performed exceptionally well. Obviously a returned product. Missing parts and didn’t come with a manual. Doesn’t send power to cameras we plug into it and resets its self every other minute.

I have a large property and it takes a lot of cameras to get sufficient coverage in all the needed areas. I initially went down the wifi camera road because it's cheap and easy, or so it seems. And they work great for a camera or two here or there as long as you have good wifi coverage. But if you have spotty wifi they're useless, and once you start adding more than a few of them to your network you start to realize that wifi networks have a limit on how many devices can be active before they start to bog down. Good old fashioned wired CCTV is the solution, and this is a great DVR for use with most any wired CCTV cam since it supports all the common formats. I originally had a Zosi system but the software for that is clunky, and eventually the DVR stopped responding. I replaced it with this and it worked great. Some seem to get it with the hard drive included but it doesn't normally include it supposedly, but hard drives are cheap nowadays. It's easy to install even for someone with a bare minimum grasp of the tech. Once installed it's easy and straightforward to setup, and it works without any major hiccups. Very satisfied with this and I highly recommend it.

Throw away those clunky wifi cameras where you have to rely on your phone notifications it some app to be able to access your camera feed.A DVR. CCTV camera system like the one this DVR provides is so far superior to anyone's needs, it's honestly no competition.Being able to have a TV or monitor setup with all your camera feeds on it all the time is exactly what I have been wanting and this set delivers.Had tons of features and compatibility for different camera types and can support many cameras so it's great even if your using it for your business.It automation recorders and saves the camera feeds, and had so many features it's ridiculous! I love it.Having access to a cloud storage and live feed makes it the best of both worlds as I am still able to access my feeds through my smartphone as well. It has no compromises honestly.My security has never been tighter since switching to this CCTV system and I can easily recommend to you for your home or business alike. 2 big thumbs up. You won't be disappointed in my opinion. Stay safe out there everyone!

I was very happy to discover this was capable of being used as a stand-alone CCTV system that did not have access to WiFi, Internet, BlueTooth, mobile phone or anything. Was simply looking for something that would monitor and record activity on my property and that could not be interrupted or possibly hacked by outside electronic sources. The menu and instructions were a bit difficult to follow, but I worked though it. For that reason: 4 Stars.
