Pretty cheap and does the job
Been looking for an affordable coffee distributor which doesn't have any weird brand or logo printed onto it. And this exceeds my expectations. Simply does the job. It doesn't need to have a solid block tamper like the other dude said. Because it's a little heavy enough and you only have to spin it. The material is thick enough for you to distribute your coffee evenly. It also includes a rubber coaster which is nice.

Does the job!
I didn't have high expectations with it, I needed it super fast. But without a doubt it was much better than I thought it would be.

It works and you will like it
I'm delighted to share my positive experience with the 51mm Coffee Distributor Espresso Distribution Tool/Leveler. This tool has significantly enhanced my espresso-making routine, providing consistent and even distribution with every use.One of the standout features of this distributor is its perfect fit in my 51mm handle, ensuring seamless operation and ease of use. The build quality is commendable, and I've experienced no issues with its performance thus far. While I would have easily awarded it a full 5 stars, I must mention that the adjustment feature falls a bit short of expectations. However, this minor inconvenience was easily rectified with the addition of a simple spacer, allowing me to achieve the desired depth effortlessly.Overall, I am thoroughly impressed with the functionality and reliability of this espresso distribution tool. Its ability to deliver uniform distribution has elevated the quality of my espresso shots, making it an invaluable addition to my coffee-making arsenal. I wholeheartedly recommend it to fellow espresso enthusiasts seeking precision and consistency in every cup.

Price, Quality, Results - All Good
First, I just want to say, do your research! With Espresso the journey is half the fun, make sure you’re buying the right diameter for your portafilter, know what you’re buying and make an informed decision about whether you need a product to achieve the results you’re after. With many accessories and tools on the market for espresso aficionado's or home barista’s there’s the argument to be made if it’s unnecessary or frivolous.Sure, you can use your hands with some time and care; distribute the coffee followed by tamping in a manner that levels the bed of coffee. There’s something about that positive feedback of pressing the leveler in after a WDT pass, twisting and releasing. Makes you look forward to that first shot of the day just a little bit more.Overall, I am quite pleased with this distribution/leveling tool. The knurling on the aluminum handle provides decent grip, and I feel confident that I won't drop it during use. The base fits well within the portafilter basket, though we're not talking about NASA tolerance's here. The depth of the leveling is adjustable, though the lack of reference marks or indicators on the side of the 51mm base can be a bit of a drawback though it makes sense the lines on the side may not apply equally to all varied basket depths, but with a little forethought it should be quick to master. Also, likely if you’re in the market for a product like this it’s relatively self-explanatory so the lack of a manual is of no real consequence.Another note on build quality: The central screw has hearty threads that should grab and hold with plenty of force to prevent any reversal or loosening of the friction fit without causing the aluminum threads to fracture or crossthread so easily. In a somewhat disappointing discovery, it utilizes a rubber o-ring to hold the tension that retains the plunge depth. It works well, though my only concern with this is that it only came with one O-ring. I don't foresee myself adjusting the depth of the base after dialing it in, so it's not a huge issue but if lost during cleaning or if it gets pinched to the point of severing it would be a trip to the home improvement store.Overall, the 51mm Espresso Distribution Tool is a well-made product, and I appreciate that there is no branding with a poorly laser-etched logo on the top. The sleek black anodizing seems like it would hold up well if it were to fall, which is a nice touch. While there is nothing more than minor quibbles, none of it detracts from the overall quality of the product.

Lightweight, a bit undersized for 58mm
First, the distributor is quite lightweight and doesn’t have the heft of other distributors I’ve owned. That might not be a big deal since you’ll likely use something else to tamp but it feels a bit cheap because of it. Second, and perhaps more of a problem, is the distributor has a bit of play when used with my Breville 58mm stock basket. You can see it while spinning it during use. Either that or it’s not perfectly round (unless my basket is not round, which I doubt). In any case - for this price point there are much nicer alternatives that do the job. I ended up with an Ikape dual distributor / tamper and can vouch for that

Simple but effective
This is a simple tool but it serves it's purpose well. Just a few spins easily distribute grounds in the portafilter and make a level and consistent puck every time. The knurling on the handle provides a nice grip. The height adjustment is an essential feature and allows me to still get consistent results with different portafilters and variations in the volume of grounds. Bonus points for having a clean look and not stamping some jibberish brand name on it.

Poor quality, cheaply made! DO NOT BUY!
The media could not be loaded. Based on the reviews and the product page I expected this to be a solid constructed tamper with a 3/4inch center thread. Much to my surprise its just a cheap light weight distributor... The base has been cast to reduce material...the whole assembly wobbles! This is not what you want for good puck prep. If you have a 58mm machine you want better quality then this.
