anyone tried to use this in the tub?

Yes.. I used it for my husband dreads to detox them and I loved the tub.

For you who love this, how did you inflate it. Bicycle pump wont work. Someone suggested a tire pump but it cannot be screwed onto the valve.

You need to have an inflation adapter for your tire pump. They are available and are quite inexpensive. The tire pump fitting will screw on to the adapter and the adapter can be inserted into the inflation port. These are quite handy for blowing up beach balls and other toys.

There are two compartments. If you try and inflate it with your breath, it it tiresome. Highly recommend an electronic one (even if you have to go to the gas station to use the tire pump).

Are there any problems with leaking?

Yes, but you just have to be cognizant of the possibility. This basin works really well for people who have difficulty sitting up and leaning their head back, but the plug can leak. I’m pleased with this product in general because it enables my older friend to get her hair washed regularly.
