Cute clock. Reminds me of Grandma’s bedroom clock.
I like this little clock. It as an audible tick. My daughters noticed is twice as fast as their clock. Wind up keys for alarm and time separate. Setting knobs for alarm and time are also separate. And there is an adjustment function for accuracy…. Mine was a little fast, initially, and just moved it over a smidge and that fixed it. I think mine was pre wound a little tight. Instructions say to carefully wind to line up with box slits to remove- which I did, and it was tight. I set and started clock and after bout 3 hours- it stopped. A tap on the top started it back up. I positioned it on my dresser to stand alone better, afraid a key may have caught. 14 hours more- I heard it stop, woke me- I tapped again and wound it- still felt tight. Started again. It stopped again after a number of hours! The clock is easy to read, the alarm functions well, it is easy to grasp in one hand. I hope this is a fluke- I am exchanging for the same product and will take great care removing it, I may just let the keys wind down to line up with the slits on the package to remove. The box states a 2 year limited warranty- at Equity out of LaCrosse, WI. I’m sure they would fix it, but exchanging through Amazon is likely faster for me. If the next model doesn’t work as expected, I will adjust my review- but, if it does work, this is a good little wind up clock and I would recommend. * the knobs have arrows to turn for adjustment. Follow the arrows. Even if the hands will adjust in either direction, the gears are designed to all move in tandem in one direction- so for longevity, you should always adjust “forward”. Even in the fall 😉.

DOESNT WORK , BAD QUALITY
Do Not Buy! Garbage. I've had wind up clocks before and this one is VERY cheaply made. The turning dial to set time Fell off! The clock will NOT keep accurate time even though it is wound up. Its out of beat and have to tilt it a little to manipulate the pendulum to get it started again. Asking for full refund.

It ticks!
Have just opened the box, set the time and wound up the clock. It's great! There's been ticking clocks in my family for generations. They soothe kids, adults, and animals. This one is larger but can be seen from across the room. The design is simple and will go with various décor. We'd like to see other models; when we run out of batteries and the power's off, the ticking clocks are reliable. Recommended. UPDATE: Am sorry to say that this wonderful ticking clock does not keep good time. I have to actually touch it before I'll hear ticking again and the 'second' hand moves. Am very sad. This was placed in a room we don't go in often, but a clock is needed. I'd like to think the clock sent us is an exception.

Not functional. Bad purchase. UPDATED: I persuaded it to reluctantly but faithfully work.
UPDATE: I sprayed some wd-40 into the winding mechanism. I also allowed it to “wind down” all the way until it stopped. Sprayed again with we-40. Wound it up VERY loosely— only about three winds. It winds comfortably now. I have to wind it twice a day, BUT the clock now works easily and winds easily. If I “overwind” it and make it all tense again, the clock will stop. It must have come from the factory “overwound” and too taut? Not sure, but I upgraded my rating. IF you are willing to play with it patiently AND wind it twice a day instead of once, you have a wind-up clock that ticks nicely and keeps decent time. ——— ORIGINAL 2-star review: The clock keeps randomly stopping. It is painful to wind because the wind mechanism is so very stiff. A full wind does not last 24 hours, evidently.

It will do
I purchased this because I wanted a wind up clock. I would’ve given it five stars except for the fact that the winder on the back is too close to another button on the back and it is difficult to wind. I have small fingers and still I have problems with this. I think if I used needle nosed pliers it would be easier to wind. The other gripe I have with it is that after a couple of days you have to rewind it. I would’ve appreciated a wind up clock without an alarm function on it. If you’re not paying attention you end up turning the alarm on and that means you have to rewind it sooner. The size is what I wanted and so were the looks. There aren’t any batteries involved and it’s self explanatory on how to use it.

Old School Timekeeping
*6 mo review is 1 star! I didn't expect a lot for the price but at least 1 yr minimum. Last couple of weeks it would jump time by 15-20 min when it wanted to over a 24hr period. Then it started stopping intermittently. Last night it would run for 10 min then stops. Internals are what I expected and even winding at this point only gives a few ticks. The binding is somewhere in the gear train. The fork and wheel hairspring and balance wheel move freely and are not bound up. Just the gears. No plans to lube or try to fix. Just FYI for others. For the price, no complaints. It took a few days to a week to settle in as far as time and me getting the adjustment good enough. I figured it needed that long anyway to exercise the spring. Lume is underwhelming, but I expected that. The tick is apparent and not obnoxious to me that is actually what I wanted. Winding was quite stiff at first but again after the first week or so it loosened up. Seniors may have issues if they do not have hand strength. It's not tuff but would be difficult for someone with arthritis. You could always make a winder extension so it's easier to grab and turn. Video attached to hear the alarm sound.

Worth every penny spent!
This little wind-up clock is great! We bought it in case the power goes out so we never miss letting our chickens out on time and it has been very effective! We live in a very remote location and never know when or for how long the power might go out during any time of year, so this was a must have for us. It is very easy to operate, and the ringer is definitely loud enough to wake even the most sound sleeper. You just have to remember to wind and set it each night before bed. Worth every penny spent!

Advertisement misleading!
This clock does not have Luminous hands or hour dots. There is no power source. It is a wind up clock. I knew this upon purchase, however, the parts that are supposed to illuminate should illuminate if placed in the sun for a few hours each day. My nightstand gets plenty of sun so the clock should have illuminated as advertised. The face is completely dark after being in the sun for hours. Note that the clock is advertised as having Luminous Hands and Hour dots. I called the company and was told that the clock “ is only meant to illuminate for a few minutes “. What good would that do if you wake up in the middle of the night and want to check the time? I was trying to avoid having to check my phone at night just to get the time. I do not recommend this clock if you need to check the time at night in the dark. The clock seems to keep accurate time, at least for the one day I used it. PLEASE READ ADDITIONAL INFO BELOW! Addition to review: There is a WARNING on the paperwork that came with the clock. This is the warning—— “This product can expose you to chemicals including acrylonitrile, 1,3-butadiene, and styrene, which are known to the state of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm”.

Make sure only wind it up 5 rotations at a time.
First time I wound up the time 10 rotations, but it got stiffer after about 5, and now whenever I try to wind it up it is immediately stiff and only does about 5 rotations, so I think it gets stuck on the 5th rotation, I should have only wound it up 5 rotations for the first time, as I seem to have over-wound it, which I think I remember is not good for these wind-up clocks. They should have put a warning message about this. This is the only wind-up clock available and I really need one. I might try to get a little spanner to take it apart and try and fix it, or perhaps buy another one or get this replaced.
