1 Year Update - Crapped Out
UPDATE:Bought this bulb in August 2017 and updating my review October 2018...Bulb only lasted for 1 year and 1 month with approximately 6 months of total use being activated an average of 2 times a night.SO TECHNICALLY THIS BULB ONLY WORKED FOR APPROXIMATELY 6 TOTAL HOURS.I was using this bulb in a hallway ceiling fixture for just over a year, in that time the light switch was off at least half the time. When the light switch was on the bulb was activated approximately 2 times a night (generous estimate). Last month (September) the bulb stopped working properly, when activated the light being emitted was barely visible and constantly flickered. I have absolutely no clue what caused it to crap out, considering this is an LED bulb I definitely expected at least a couple more years of service out of it. LED bulbs, even cheap ones, should be operational for thousands of hours at a minimum, the vast majority of bulbs sold today are rated to work for 10,000+ hours. This particular LED bulb remained operational for 6 hours at best, well short of the market average. That's extremely pathetic when compared to the LED bulb in my front porch fixture, fixture has a dusk to dawn sensor keeping the light on for around 10 hours everyday. I've had that bulb for a little over a year as well and it's still goin strong. This motion sensor bulb sold by Haimi Tree wouldn't have lasted one full night, that is clearly unacceptable.Original review:I'm extremely happy with this bulb, emits a crisp white light that is brighter than expected. Motion sensor works great, activates without a problem. Light stays on for a full minute if not a little more if no more motion is detected. Could shorten that time to 30 seconds in my opinion, despite that very minor complaint it's a great product overall.

A "twin light socket adapter" points this bulb down the staircase so it turns on sooner when you approach it from below
I have only been using this bulb for a few days, but it seems to adequately serve its intended purpose, which is to light a basement staircase as soon as, or just before, anyone starts down, or up, the stairs. However, I had to make one small addition, shown in the photo, to make it work correctly: When I first put the bulb in the fixture in the ceiling at the top of the stairs, it would not come on until I was actually starting up the stairs (i.e., after I had taken two or three steps up the stairs, or more). I wanted it to illuminate sooner than that, and I figured that I needed to "aim" the bulb down the stairs more to make that happen. I thought of inserting a wedge-shaped piece of wood under the light socket, so that the socket itself, with the bulb installed, would be aimed down the stairs. But I opted for an easier, if less elegant solution: I bought a "twin light socket adapter" (Amazon sells one by Leviton, but I spent more at Ace) and put that in the fixture socket, so that one of the two sockets in the adapter was pointing down the stairs. Voila! Now the motion-sensor bulb illuminates just as I approach the bottom of the staircase (and still lights up when I approach the stairs from the top of the staircase too). Plenty of light to see the stairs now, and that light comes on before I actually reach the stairs from top or bottom. I didn't want the other socket "open" and "hot", so I put a "Leviton Adapter Socket To Outlet" in it, and nightlight in that. Of course I could have just covered it in tape. If I were to do the whole thing over again, I'd install the light socket fixture over a wedge of wood to point the whole socket (and bulb) down the stairs, but this solution works well.

Limited motion sensing capability.
Limits on motion sensing. Will not work inside a fixture. I tried this in two spots inside glass globe fixtures: porch and garage. It would not motion sense with the glass on. By removing the glass, it works fine. From other reviews, people don't seem to have this issue.

This works great; you walk around the corner and the light ...
I put it in our bathroom, because you walk around the corner and it's too dark to see the lightswitch. This works great; you walk around the corner and the light comes on it's on. It doesn't stay on long, though, and there's no way to adjust that. Goes off while you're sitting on the toilet or if you're in the shower (behind the shower curtain). I'll have to go back to a regular bulb and find a closet or something to put this one in.

Since it's very dark back there it did me no good since I needed the pathway lit before getting to ...
I installed this outside in a light on the side of the garage. I literally had to be right on top of it for it to activate. Since it's very dark back there it did me no good since I needed the pathway lit before getting to the door. Tried this at other locations with same result, you have to be nearly on top of it for it to activate. So maybe this is OK for certain applications indoors, but outdoors not so much so.

Love it!!!!
I love these bulbs. I have one at my front porch and back porch. Everytime I leave and get back to my house I don't have to turn on the light. I can finally see to unlock my door because the light automatically turns on for me. It is also good security letting me know when someone comes to my door. No special tools or wiring. Just put it in tbe socket and turn the light switch on. The light only comes on when it is dark and motion is detected.

Convenient & works well
This is a great bulb. We have it installed in a walk-in pantry. It turns on when you're within about 3 feet of the doorway and turns off about a minute after movement stops. It's convenient when your hands are full of grocery bags and keeps us from fumbling for the light switch. The auto-off feature saves electricity when no one is in there. Will definitely buy again

burned out after 8 months
located in a storage building it lasted 8 months. It had too short a residual "on" interval. It may have cycled about 200 times when it failed. (note it did not turn on in daytime since it was near a window)
