Awesome torch for multitasking! You can use it to sear your sous vide, or for reverse searing, as well as lighting your campfire! You can regulate the flame very easily, and lighting it is as easy as pressing a button! Works great!

One of my 'hobbies' is on the lookout for a reliable torch. One that doesn't fail you when you need them most! I've too many torches/lighters for various tasks... Butane Canister Torch, Flex head, Long neck, Torch lighter, Weed Flamethrower, etc. This review is with reference to my Torch collection and usage experience. Good - This FunOwlet Butane Torch Lighter is now my favorite jet flame utility torch. The entire body is made of metal, covered by rubberized material that serves as handle, and hard plastics for the flame control and on/off dial. With this metal body, I have no worries about it melting with prolonged usage or cracking after rough handling. My existing Blow Torch is a screw-on for a Butane Fuel Canister and is my most economical solution. Now with this new refillable Butane Torch, I no longer have to carry the additional Butane Fuel Canister. My wife has this 'fear of explosion' when attaching anything to a pressurized gas source. This refillable Butane Torch eliminates that concern (no more attachment) and makes her camping experience better. This Torch also has a much thinner jet flame; makes it less scary for her to use. Some reviewers mentioned you'll need to 'press & hold' the trigger continuously to have the flame. This is untrue as demonstrated by my attached video. You do have the ability the lock the trigger and keep the flame going. Refill Fuel Type - This Torch came empty (for combustion safety) and will need refill before first use. The picture I've posted shows 3 different butane fuels. From the left, the first item is this refillable Torch with the supplied red adapter, the second item is the commonly available Butane Fuel Canister (for Portable Butane Gas Stove) and is the most economical Butane of choice. The 3rd (Vector) and 4th (Neon) items are refills (refined & more expensive) meant for cigarette lighters (notice these have adapters that are much shorter) and have thinner nozzles not designed for refilling Torch lighter. Refilling - The gas inlet of this refillable FunOwlet Butane Torch is designed to work best with the Butane Fuel Canister (the second item) and the supplied adapter fits best with such Butane Fuel Canister. Or you can buy butane refill made for Torches (will be more expensive) that has longer and thicker nozzles. The supplied red adapter fitment is not perfect. Therefore, during refilling, you'll have to depress the Butane Canister against the Torch gas inlet really hard to prevent the pressurized butane from leaking. If this is your first time refilling, do search youtube on how it's done. The correct method is inverted because your goal is to fill up your new Torch with liquid butane (not gaseous state). Wish List - It would be great if the Torch has a window to reveal how much gas is left. Not a dealbreaker since I can usually tell when to refill by giving it a little shake. Camping is my primary use for this Torch. The long jet flame helps to easily reach the fire starters buried underneath those campfire logs. I do recommend this Torch.

Works great, at an upright level. I bought this to light my big green egg grill, cause you have to use lump charcoal. If you turn it on its side it still flames, but struggles with it. I used it to melt ice and snow off the porch. Its a great little unit, but just be aware it dont do so great at a 90 degree angle, or above.

I've used a bunch of different torches over the years. I have used them for many different reasons from melting cheese on burgers, and charring veggies to blowing air bubbles out of epoxy projects and charring wood to give it that old battered look. I will say that this one has become one of my favorites. Its flexibility in terms of how large and hot the flame is outstanding. You can do things requiring a delicate light flame, or crank it up for some serious charring. Plus I love the fact that this is a true 'one-handed' torch. Holding the trigger down keeps the flame going, and releasing it shuts it off (as opposed to having to turn a dial to shut the flame down). The design is sleek and ergonomic, making it comfortable to hold and operate. The torch is also incredibly easy to use, even for beginners. The ignition is quick and reliable, and the adjustable flame control allows for precise heat application, giving me complete control. When it comes to performance, this kitchen torch truly shines. This thing is super cool. it can be turned on, left by a pile of charcoal, or campfire, and it will provide the initial flame needed. (never walk away from it) plus its kind of fun! ha ha

Thought it would be the perfect addition to my kitchen. It’s small and light, but it doesn’t ignite. It did not come with fuel and was impossible fill.
