Alpine ILX-507 - Almost perfect
I'd give this radio a 4.5 if I could. I really like everything about this radio except for the lack of a simple feature on the SiriusXM portion of the radio.I previously had an aftermarket Pioneer radio in my car, but I wanted a radio with Apple Car Play. The wireless Apple Car play was the deciding factor over purchasing something less expensive. I've also had Alpine radios in the past, and I've really enjoyed every one of them.I do not have any aftermarket amplifiers and I'm not using iDatalink features. I'm have an aftermarket rear camera and a module that works with my steering wheel controls. The sound quality is excellent. Going from the Pioneer to this is a big upgrade. This unit has an extensive menu to customize the sound, or you can use the preloaded presets. The OTA radio and HD radio work great. The one feature I wish they put on the SiriusXM radio is on the standard radio. They have the option to scroll the presets, auto seek, or manually seek on the standard radio. On SiriusXM, you can only scroll to the next station and you can't scroll by the presets. I'd like to take advantage of my steering wheel controls to scroll the presets, while driving. Now on SiriusXM I must manually hit the presets if I don't want to scroll though all stations. As far as Apple Car Play, it works as expected, wired or wirelessly.I used a Lightning to Digital AV adapter to hook up my phone through the HDMI in. The screen looked great streaming from apps and playing videos on my phone. I didn't test the HDMI out since I had no need to hook up.I'm not quite sure what the GPS does for this radio, other than it uses it for the clock and maybe assist with navigation. If it's doing more, I don't know what it is.Alpine did put out a software update that is available through their website. It was easy to install and added TIDAL and was supposed to fix some wireless connectivity.Overall, if you don't see the need for wireless connectivity or some of the other special features, you might find what you need for a little less money. I still purchased this model knowing this, and I'd do it again.

Great head unit
Great head unit with wireless android auto/car play. Always loved alpine, and this double din head unit does not disappoint.

My Car Thinks It’s a Nightclub Now
Got this Alpine head unit and suddenly my 2009 beater thinks it’s a spaceship. The touchscreen is so clean I tried to swipe it with a tortilla (don’t ask). Bluetooth connects faster than my brain does in the morning. And the sound? Crisp enough to hear parts of songs I didn’t even know existed — like backup tambourines and emotional sighs. Now every drive feels like I’m DJing my own Fast & Furious spin-off — Fast & Frequently Late to Work. Only downside? My wife won’t let me touch the radio anymore. She’s taken over. It’s her Alpine now. I just pay the car note.10/10 would ignore road signs again.

Great unit, almost issue-free. You won't be disappointed
I bought this for my 2019 4Runner. I replaced a 2-year old Kenwood unit that was a piece of junk.I wanted something with wireless Apple CarPlay and that wasn't a floating screen and this fit the bill. I've had Alpine products in the past, and they've worked well for me.I'm using it with a stock audio system and an iDataLink Maestro. I bought this June of 2022. It's now March of 2023 as I write this.Installation was a little hairy because the annoying lock-out safety features of the Alpine unit, but there are hacks to bypass them. Once that happened, it's run very well. There's an occasional hiccup (freeze, no audio, etc) but they resolve themselves with the car restart, and months go buy without issues. All in all, I'm quite pleased with the product. It just works and works well for my needs.

excellent item very nice settings fast on the Apple CarPlay I had an issue where I couldn't figure out why it want turning on and contact the seller and they where really understandable and ask me if I wanted to return it but after some digging find out that I was using the wrong harness for my vehicle but I like that and decided to keep it long story short radio is working fine but they stand behind any issue that you have with the product I give them a A++++++++ on customer service excellent service excellent item

Best radio I’ve had in 30 years
I’ve had many radios many different brands. So far this is probably been the best one I’ve ever had. I bought it on Amazon and a place called car sound sold it to me fantastic customer service.
