My heavy gamer introverted picky teenage son loves it.
I'm surprised at all the wireless or wired headphones for, say, gamers are so cheap. You try to adjust the microphone, and the piece breaks of like a balsa wood toy airplane part. Or after a couple months, one side of the sound quits working like, while it just was sitting on the desk.So yes, they are usually cheap. I have a box in the basement filled with them.So my son, after researching, found this headphone we bought it. First, as a rule, any wired connection has more stability, connected directly to the Alienware Aurora R16 with liquid coolant so you don't hear the loud fan noise they are so known for, and the Alienware is hard wired to our hi capacity reliable router. But now here's the reality, as my son would a good tester cuz he naively relies on stuff to always be perfect. Until he's 18, I won't say a word about that rock climb on a volcano aka "Life." I let him fail from time to time, and sometimes he doesn't turn in his homework. He is BRUTAL to computers, keyboards (he slams them when his game ends and a fellow teammate blew him up just he gets close to a treasure chest. To be fair, I'd be mad, too). Hes tough on headphones as he pulls them off his head and throws them on his soft fabric foot stand. He sometimes gets out of his chair and walks around with his wired keyboard headphones on , and weve bought custom length 12 ft cords to accommodate his frenetic energy, which is so severe my wife uses him to whisk things in a bowl or to mash potatoes.THst walking pulls on the cord, which is puutting pressure on his USB port. We've stopped him from getting up, but I'm sure he still does it.And yet, so far, and longer than the other ones, Astro is just right, with no glitching, and I've tested it on my laptop in my dictation software (nuance dragon professional 16 individual home).I also had a pleasant accurate experience.Don't be me. I have hundreds of dollars worth of junk broken defective headphones in a basement box. I didnt think I needed to buy a warranty on an inexpensive headphone. He's dropped them on the floor and they work and arent all cracked or loose. Personally, I think he threw it on the floor after a game tournament. He gets outside alot, plays on sports leagues for soccer all year, and his vitamin D levels are good. But in his sanctuary, all is well. headphones and microphones are so vital - say - in team tournaments on games. You cant have your stuff glitching or you may lose your pixel avatar.

Astro a10 Gen 1 with astro audio v2 is like the PS4 pro punches above its weight by a mile!
This is the best astro a10 that exists Gen 1 with astro audio v2 Gen 2 with astro audio v2 should be sold as a kids pro headset and Gen 1 with astro audio v2 is the best for adults I think that either one might be okay for teens but the thing is the gen 2 headset hurts my ears and needs to extend slightly more to feel better I ordered the Gen 1 with astro audio v2 on here because I can't buy it in stores which completely sucks considering it's better by a long shot I love the astro a10 Gen 1 with astro audio v2 it's one of the best headsets I think that exists tbh I really do I love it so much I really wish I could buy it in store again I'd try my best to buy quiet a few of them :) but sadly the one that's not as good for adults is the only one you can buy in stores it really sucks :( Astro a10 Gen 1 with astro audio v2 is incredible,it's a masterpiece with love and care put into it and you can really feel it!

Durable and comfortable!
These are the perfect headset! Durable and yet comfortable. I was referred to these from a family friend who has had this exact set for 4 years! He told me that he highly recommends them for my son because he has personally thrown his set against the wall in frustration and they still work perfectly.Well, we have had this set for a little more than a month. They haven’t been tossed against the wall, but they definitely are well put together and holding up!Highly recommend for any age. Very comfortable and clear audio.

Switching back to turtle beach
DO NOT PURCHASEI have been an avid gamer for about 18 years now. I’ve gone through a few headsets in my time with gaming, mostly Turtle Beach headsets, and a few no-name cheapo brands when I was balling on a budget. but a few years back a friend of mine, a hardcore gamer, recommended astros gaming headsets because that’s what he was using. They looked sleek and stylish, the sound quality when he let me try his on were unbeatable, and the were comfy as all hell. I’m sure they were one of the better models, perhaps the Astro A-40, but whatever it was, i wanted it.I came home and hopped on Amazon and searched up “Astros headphones” where I saw the whole assortment of astros products. I looked through and read reviews from 3 different types of headphones, the A-10, the A-20 and the A-40. All seemed to be promising options for a decent quality gaming headset. Of course I decided to go with the A-10. It was the cheapest, but It should have all that I need, two working headphones with surround sound and a mic, right? Wrong.Upon first opening the box I could tell something was wrong, the box looked to have been carefully opened then resealed using super glue. Thought ‘maybe that’s how astros does things as apposed to turtle beach’ so I continued opening the package and got it set up, which by the way was very easy. Put on my headphones and turned on my Xbox and prepared to have my mind blown as the Xbox one opener rumbled through my headphones. IMMEDIATE LET DOWN.First of all the right earphone doesn’t even work. Maybe that’s just my luck, but regardless i think it’s unacceptable. Secondly, I want to blow my ear drums out with the awesome booming sound of a brand new headset, not possible with these baby’s. I have every possible volume switch set to max on the headset, tv, Xbox, you name it, it just doesn’t cut it. The sound quality seems fine, bass, mids and high are all distinguishable (despite only having one working headphone) but I can recall my turtle beach headset having clearer, deeper sound.Overall I am disappointed with my decision to purchase these headphones. If the right earphone would have worked I may have recommended these headphones, but do not purchase these, not online at least. Or go with a better model if you’re looking for good quality headphones, because these are not them. Comfortable, flashy, but does not function the way good gaming headsets are supposed to function.Hopefully this helps you if you’re in the same boat that I was with deciding between cheap name brand headsets.

Durable
Solid headset, lasted me 3 years. I’m probably going to rebuy this again because I like it, it’s comfortable and the sound is good for the price.
