Fridge Ninja Compact Fridge Deodorizer (2 Pack) - More Effective Than Baking Soda - Compact Size Refrigerator Deodorizer Made of Activated Carbon

While we never had a smelly fridge, whenever I'd chop up onion for use in meals for the week, the fridge would smell like onion (even when storing the onion in a vacuum canister). I'd been using the boxed baking soda odor eliminators for years, to the tune of 8 to 10 bucks a pop, and needing replacement every 3 months, but they weren't stronger than the onions. I saw these and liked they were able to be recharged by sitting in UV light, basically the sun. I put one in our fridge and one in our freezer, discarding the year old boxed baking soda. Sure enough, after chopping up the onion these kept the odor at bay. My wife remarked how these prevented the entire fridge from smelling like onion and there is no smell in the fridge whatsoever. These are small enough to stash in a drawer or back of the shelf and not take up any precious storage space, I put a post it on them with a date to recharge them after 6 months, so I don't forget about it. The price is better than comparable when you consider the boxes or other specially packaged baking sodas cost, and they require replacing after 3 months or so. These will pay for themselves in less than a year.

These did not work quickly (well over a week before the odor was really dissipating, but to be fair, it was the worst I’ve experienced), but they seem to have helped a lot in getting rid of spoiled food smell that no thorough cleaning, baking soda, coffee, lemon juice, vinegar, or airing out could get rid of! I believe they are also helping to keep my fridge smelling nice. I like that they are very self-contained and you don’t have to worry about spills, like you do with baking soda. They also fit nicely in the back of the fridge and aren’t very noticeable. Great product.

I am soooo pleased with these!! We had a container of chicken livers and a package of pre-cooked shrimp that were forgotten in the back of the fridge for a while. We removed them as soon as they started to smell, but after trying baking soda and coffee grounds, the smell remained and ruined anything we put in the fridge OR freezer. After two weeks of trying other methods, I ordered these. 36 hours later and there is no smell remaining in either the fridge or freezer! Amazing! I will always keep these on hand, just in case!

I moved into a new home and the freezer and refrigerator had sat empty for months but was rancid inside. I cleaned it with baking soda and vinegar. No change. Then I found these. Took a few days for the refrigerator to clear out and about a week for the freezer but they now are odor free. Great product!

Product falls short on odor control, I put leftover ribs and broccoli in fridge and still smell.

I had a strong fishy smell in my freezer, from some frozen shrimp that must have dripped out of the bag. I tried wiping down the freezer and using baking soda. Neither worked. I put one of these in the freezer and the next morning, the smell was completely gone!!! I was expecting to have to wait a few days, based on reading other reviews. So I was pleasantly surprised that it worked so fast.

We recently moved into a home with a very nice high-end Kitchen Aide refrigerator and the smell when we opened to door of the refrigerator was terrible. This smell even lingered in the house after we closed the refrigerator door. We tried baking soda without success, then I found the Refrigerator Ninja on Amazon and put them in the refrigerator. After about 5 days the smell was a lot less, now after 3 weeks there is no smell. I don’t know if the Ninja was the only reason the smell went away, but it sure didn’t hurt.

The Fridge Ninja Deodorizer was used in a refrigerator / freezer. I was out of town and the electricity had been turned off for three weeks in the summer. I was able to get electricity restored, but the food in the freezer and refrigerator was completely spoiled. I did not return to the residence for a few more months. When I did return, I cleaned out the refrigerator and freezer. I tried baking soda and then the Fridge Ninja Deodorizer. Neither were complete effective even after a few weeks. Ultimately, I replaced the refrigerator / freezer. It was just too big of a task for the Fridge Ninja Deodorizer.

My fridge smells like … nothing now. Just wish there was a hook to help hang it but I just used some thin wire I had. Would buy again!

I stuck this to the top of my diaper pail with a 3M strip, and it IMMEDIATELY started working! No more nursery that smells like poop!

It's been maybe 3 weeks and I used to dread opening the fridge door for the smell. Working great so far, no smell at all! And once a year is up I can spread the charcoal onto the garden.
