Great Stem toy.
I bought this for my children because they were so excited by the M Pie and M Cookie sets. This set expands on those ideas and processes. My kids loved building Lego scaled projects. It is a shame schools do not have more STEM learning. We are surrounded by technology that most do not understand. These toys are a great way to bridge the gap between using technology and understanding it. As a parent I myself am fascinated by these toys.

Such a hassle.
Not the product I wanted. And returning it was a hassle.

More complicated than expected
Much more complicated to set up and get started than we thought, not having a programming background. My son who is 11 years old lost interest but his father thought it was great fun when he got it working!

Product is cheaply made. I got mine through the Indiegogo campaign. The battery would not hold a charge, and the core unit will not sync up with my computer (a mac running OS Sierra 10.12). The other parts are cheaply made and will most likely not hold up to a child's handling (their target audience, it seems). When I contacted customer service at Microduino, they were extremely unhelpful. Don't expect much from this except for frustration.UPDATE: Looks like they are doing better on their customer service. After writing this review, someone from Microduino contacted me and sent me a replacement. This new one works much better. The battery holds a charge, and the core unit will accept code without a big hassle. Much more fun now!

Great toy for ALL ages
Bought the Itty Bitty City as my husband likes to tinker, build, and code. After constructing the Windmill project, (it was easy) we think this would be great educational STEM toy for our grandchildren to have fun with, especially when they come over to visit! Plus we will get more mileage out of our Legos.

Best Gift My Kids Have Gotten In a Long Time!
I loved everything from the packaging to every little sensor included. My children were amazed that they could actually build something on their own by following a very organized set of directions. They love legos, so this was a natural for them with one exception. Their creations moved, made noises and were not boring. This kit keeps them busy and away from the TV (which I love as a parent) plus they are learning how to code and think "cause and effect." Highly recommend if you want your kids to embrace STEM education!
