An absolute great buy!
This is my first machine and i'm a fairly new welder. I bought this because i needed practice, had work to do around the house, and needed something i could run off of a generator. This machine quickly met all 3 of my requirements and i highly recommend it to anyone who is just starting off, or in need of a small stick/tig machine for small fab work.Cons: This machine has an Amperage adjustment dial that is a little too fine for it's size. That's more of a complaint than a con. The TIG torch also seems a little cheaply made around the connection points for the machine. I haven't tried the TIG torch out yet, but i'm expecting it's performance to surprise me much like the machine has already!Pros: this machine overall is amazing!- runs well on a generator- lays a really nice bead- extremely simple controls- work and electrode cables are decent length out of the box- lightweight and small- sweet protective cover for machine's display and controls- TIG torch has nice carry bagProduct also came in 2 days before projected shipping date, so kudos!

What a great and powerful little welder in such a small package
What a great and powerful little welder in such a small package. There's a lot it doen't do; but what it does, it does very well. TIG welding is still new to me. I did a lot of oxy-acetylene welding in another life, and TIG is similar to that. BTW, you may want to invest in the "super blue drop in welding lense". it costs way too much, like $40?? something absurd like that; but it totally cuts out the blazing yellow that prevented me from clearly seeing my weld puddle. Now I can see what I'm doing wrong! But practice makes better. I love my little welder. Tech support is there, but my one question was easy to get an answer for. If you buy a cart, get one with drawers and that can handle a BIG bottle of Argon. BTW, Amazon may not be the best source for this cart. Good luck and happy welding. Oh, and BTW, everybody forgets to put the ground clamp on, so don't feel bad.

Price point worthy I think.
I bought it first to start to learn tig just to see if want too... I'm getting hang of it.... and the stick side works great on 220. 110 you can tell its limited on usefulness. But it 17 something pounds and has a shoulder sling... great for spot fixes in a number of places. In a pinch I have used it out in the woods to tack together a buddies truck frame so we could get it out... it has its place and isnt poor quality. I've made a few things in the shop out 14" stock... ran 6013 and 6011. It was tinker time and was in no rush... it work great and was fun to fine tune the maps just see what one or two more less did. So if your not trying to make a living with it and you are more about hobbies or tinkering it works for the price point. Have fun and smile!

Great!!!
Great welding machine. I am not a professional welder. I tested with 3/32, 6013 welding rods and get the great result on 1/8" steel with 70A, 120V house outlet. I have not test the TIG yet. I do not actually need the TIG function at this moment and could not justify the cost of gas cylinder yet. But I went ahead and bought with TIG function in case if I need it later. Very good penetration with electrode + set up. I also tested with electrode - and works with more deposit than penetration, might be good for sheet metal. By the way, the knob dial mark and display Amp is different +/- 10 Amp. I do not know which is right, I just set as display shows.

It does work.
It does weld. Not super well. When arc welding it will just arc out intermittently. Seems to Tig ok but I havent done enough of it yet to know for sure. Duty seems very decent. I have only ran it on 120 I'm hoping 240 will hold arc better.

Never worked, Sent for repair twice, Seller doesn't send everything back.
Welder wouldn't arc. Sent back for repair, returned with missing torch parts. Still didn't work, gas valve stayed on constantly and tig torch arced without pushing the button. Sent back again, don't know if it's finally fixed because they didn't send back any of the cables. They kept the tig torch cable, the stick cable, and the ground cable.

A great deal
I bought this little machine in November 2019. I work with a marine salvage company. I used this machine 8 to 9 hours a day for 4 months, 5 days a week repairing a leaky barge. Ran it on 240 and wow what a little machine. I use it now at my shop and it is a deal for the price. I still haven't tried tig yet but as far as sick hours you can't beat it. It paid for itself the first day i used it and definitely would recommend this machine. Tried it on 110 v and would do ok but a little intermittent. Did change the stinger and added longer leads. Just thought i would post this using it again today!

Great beginner welder
Stick function works well, TIG function well. Love the digital dial. Had this about 6 months and probably practice twice per week, around an hour at a time. Have had no issues with it overheating and was very pleased when it was just plug n’ play right out of the box.
