Q: Would they adhere to a tub with a textured surface?

Yes! My tub has a textured bottom which wouldn't allow bath mats to adhere but these strips adhered with no problem. They are still securely attached after 6 months.

I have used them on slick grab bars. Get the flat, straight ones and follow the length of the bar where you are most likely to grab. Also I put my strips in a chevron pattern in the bottom of the tub leaving the center open an inch or so. In the corners I cut the strips to whatever length I needed and rounded the ends before sticking them on. I needed a double set at the time but nowhere in my tub was there a place where my foot did not safely grab the soles of my feet. Your safety is first so if you need more to protect yourself and your loved ones, splurge. I want to also put them on the ridge where I may position my foot to bathe my leg better. Be creative! You are in charge. Leaving the width of a strip will between the tub strips allows for good drainage. My first set was on a tub in an apartment and lasted a good 5 years, until I left. Going to do it again. Plan and be patient. You won't regret your work. Besides these can be moved. My first ones just plain stayed stuck.

Q: Are they easy to remove and replace?

So far I have no plans of replacing them but the way I see them, I think they can peel off quickly. There is a scraper that comes with the package and can be used to remove them.
