I've been using Epic filter for a couple of years and let me tell you, they work. Ive used just about every water source and the water is always clean and drinkable. This package was pricing but well worth it. The lids are super durable and easy to use.

The tap water in Florida doesn’t taste so great so I got this hoping to improve the hard water taste. I’m happy to report it works in my Owala FreeSip Twist bottles! The installation was easy and the water tastes filtered with no lingering after taste. It’s comes with a bunch of straws, two filters (one for all types of water and one only for use with tap water), two large mouth bottle straw lids, and a tube that attaches the filter to the straw and sits at the bottom of the bottle to filter water. Drawing water through the straw is similarly restrictive to other straw-like filters like Lifestraw, but you get used to it. The two additional straw lids fit my Hydroflask Trail and regular wide mouth bottles easily and with no leaks. Overall, I’m happy with the purchase but wish it were cheaper. I look forward to bringing my new filter bottle on trips abroad.

When I bought this filter I mistakenly bought the filter for the 32 oz hydro flask instead of the 40 oz. The only difference between the two is the length of the straw. I only realized my mistake once the filter arrived. I emailed the company about my issue and they quickly replied and sent me a longer straw to match the size of my 40 oz bottle as well as a really nice sticker, free of charge. I was really impressed with their customer service. The filter is just as great. They work perfectly and the straw and filter are easily detachable so you can clean them easily but they won't come apart when you are out and about using it. The water at my university tastes a lot like metal but once I began using my water bottle with the filter the metallic taste is no longer there and the water actually tastes good now. The caps that come with the filter also work really good and are better made than the name brand hydro flask sports cap as I have one and these have a rubber cover on the bite valve making it more comfortable to drink water than with the hydro flask cap. Also when drinking water you can barely even tell you are using a filter. In all I am very happy with this product and will continue to purchase the filter replacements once these run out.

Great filter, removes everything from water, and doesn’t require any additional noticeable suction. However, a replacement filter costs $30, and you’re supposed to replace them every 3 months. I’d say it’s worth it if you have particularly nasty tap water you wouldn’t drink otherwise. My major problem is the lid without the clear plastic cover has major leak issues. sometimes when screwing it on, the threads wont line up, the cap will be on skewed, and it will leak a ton. Additionally, with this lid, if the spout isn’t folded COMPLETELY down, it will leak all over the place. I switched to the lid with clear cover after the third time I opened my backpack to find it full of water. At least when the clear top is closed, it forces the spout down. It would be nice if the other lid would click closed, so you could tell when it was closed.

To the makers of this water filter. So far it has been awesome. I've traveled to several foreign cities as well as a few domestic ones (including Los Angeles where I've always thought the water had a bit of a fishy like taste) where the water is safe but had a unfavorable taste. Those far it has performed quite well. The water at work comes from God only knows how many year old pipes and you can most def tell. There was no soaking required and you don't need the power of a Hoover Vaccum Cleaner to suck out the water like some other filters make you do. This product has encouraged me to actually drink more water because of if I don't like the taste of water it becomes difficult for me to find it palatable. This is serving several goals of mine. To be more conscience of not using plastic products whilst traveling and to consume more water. Also, a HUGE bonus for me is that your company is local right in my back yard. I really try to support local business as much as possible. Thanks for making that happen. The only negative thing I have discovered is that the filter leaves a small swallow of water at the bottom because it doesn't reach. I imagine this is because there needs to be room for the water to come up through the filter but it is annoying. A small thing really. Otherwise great idea and great product. How long does this filter last (gallons etc) and is there a recommended method of cleaning it?

Fits the wide mouth Hydro Flask without any fuss, and the filtration does what it claims — water tastes clean, no issues there. It's just never stopped feeling like a compromise. Nothing about it felt like an upgrade, more like a workaround. Functional, but every time I used it I was aware I was using it, if that makes sense. Would I buy it again? Probably not. But I didn't regret the purchase either. It's firmly in the middle — does the job, doesn't do it in a way that makes you want to tell people about it.

Exactly what I was looking for! I don't find it too hard to sip from, and it makes city water taste less "chemically." Used it with my 32 oz Hydro Flask

I loved this product. I love ICE COLD water. I also like that in Disney it is free, but it always causes me to get sick. I am used to well water and not city water, and like most Disney Water does not fair well with my stomach. Disney was the only reason I purchased this and it worked amazing. It tasted like fresh clean water and I did not get sick. Plus being able to still bring my hyrdoflask so that my ice water stays cold in the heat was a must. I would buy it all over again if I had too. I also liked that it came with 2 different tops, one that had a protective cover and one that did not. I like the option and to have the protective cover while I was travelling and didn't have to worry about the germs on the mouth piece was an added bonus. Update 4/23/24 Still I love with this product and recommend it to everyone. Again the only reason I bought it was for Disney and we are Annual Passholders so we go all the time and it has not let me down yet I will continue to recommend this product for anyone regardless if it’s just for use at Disney

This is the second order I have to place with this. The quality is solid, and it even comes with two caps. The only issue is, the first time I ordered it, I got a opened boxed one, which is not good for things like water filters...
