Crescent 3/8” Drive Micrometer Torque Wrench 50-250 in/lbs. - CRTW38

It just works. Compared it to my 150ft/lb Snap-On and they both were spot on when checking them at work with a calibration machine. This was accurate within +/- 1% at all tested settings. I subtract one star because this has a plastic head direction change knob and the handle torque locking collar is also plastic. My experience over the years will show that these two items will degrade with continued exposure to chemicals, heat and, the inevitable drops. However, I did drop this once from 5' while working on my truck. Nothing broke and it was still within +/- 1% at tested 50ft/lb increments. So for the price, I'll run this thing and update here if I have any issues.

There is no click sound, the wrench slightly deflects and the keeps on torquing the nuts further. Very bad design. Also I am very disappointed because I received a used product. There was oil and dust on the wrench. Since I got a used product, I could imagine how it wouldn't hold up well after several uses The wrench doesn't look very sturdy, especially the red lock. It felt as if it would easily break if dropped on the floor.

I camp all summer in a travel trailer. A good torque wrench is needed in the event I have to change a tire on my pickup or Airstream.

The red plastic locking ring was cracked upon arrival. It appears to be made of thin, not dense plastic. Same material is used on the ratchet directional selector. Would not recommend even for home garage use.

The wrench and its case came in a hard clam-shell molded clear pvc blister pack. Excellent packaging. The case keeps the wrench safe when not in use. Used it to torque the wheel lugs to 130 nm. The click was audible. BTW, It has both nm and ft lb settings. I think for the price, this is one is a keeper.

The adjustments are really smooth and it just seems solid and well made. I have no way to tell how accurate it is, but judging by the craftsmanship I'll take their word for it.
