Q: Can this be used on the face

Yes you can use the soft one on your face.

Q: Can you use regular soap like dial. Not the dr squash type. Also in shower I have a ledge soap dish no way to hang it does that work as well?

Yes, you can use regular bar soap, it doesn't have to be Dr. Squatch sized to fit. I suppose you can use the ledge,I just wonder if it would be able to dry out properly. I would think any little suction hook like from the dollar tree would work in holding it..
