How thick (height) is this ruler? Is the measurement shown a height of 0.01 inch correct?

I'm not sure I understand your question and presume that you mean that if it were laid on a flat surface and I looked at it while it was there, would it be 0.01 inch above the surface. I honestly don't know. However I will say that it's a good weight which leads to it's durability. It's versatile and comfortable in the hand. As with almost all Amazon products, you are given a reasonable amount of time to return it. However, as stated, this is my second one since beginning to sew again during the Pandemic after a very, very long period of not having done so. I also was studying pattern drafting at the time. This was a necessary ruler and served me well in each respect. I personally cannot see a sewist, knitter or quilter without it. It's lite weight, but again, durable and the markings are clear. I wouldn't be concerned about the 0.01.

What is on the back of the ruler that makes it non slip? From the pictures, it doesn't look non slip.

It comes with a four-pack of small rubber “feet” you stick on the back of the ruler.
