I use this for my reef tank. Far better than 10 cent syringes. As others have noted- don’t push all the way down. Slowly apply pressure until you feel a soft “stop”, then slowly release- never let it spring back. The second full stop is unmeasured and just for pushing any remnants out. One thing that would have been nice is if they included multiple tips.
