These actually scratch! The tips have some sharpness to them. Love the colors and the ability to carry them everywhere discretely.

I purchased this item for my husband and he loves it. He gave one to a colleague and he has purchased them as well. He likes the ability to extend it to a desired length and he likes the fact that it isn't too heavy making repetitive use fairly easy. He also says it's great for scratching his beard

I bought because of reviews, so I'm thinking I must have received defective item because only 1 out of the 3 was workable.I noticed that the other 2 defective claws were not positioned the same as the one that worked, so that's the reason for 1 star.

I first got these for my hubby who loves them. He has them in office, in room, and one he carries around! They are well made, not flimsy. I ordered them again as stocking stuffers for the rest of the men!

If you have older children or if these will not fall into the hands of children, then these will be fine. The claw is metal. I love that they retract because I was planning on putting one in my car and I wanted low profile. BUT my kids (girls ages 7 and 9) found these and thought they were so fun. They were completely pulled apart and unusable by the end of the day. Once they are pulled out of their sockets, as far as I could tell, they are done for.

These were a gift for my husband but the whole famly loves them. A little larger than I thought they would be but I think that makes them better.

They are in the office, in the bedroom, in the truck. They get used almost everyday and are holding up very well. Just the thing when your back is really itching. Works through clothing and hasn't torn or stressed anything.

Love my telescopic bear claw back scratchers so much I bought another set of three as gifts. Everyone loves them. For me, I carry one in my purse, I have another by my bedside, and another in my family room. Now every time I have an inch, I have the scratcher handy. I can reach the spot and get relief immediately. :o)

Fantastic. Most are rubbish a break. These came in nice box. Can’t believe there’s that many for price. I suffer with A bad itchy foot by my heel due To intestinal problems. Just scratching it myself doesn’t work. I need to scratch whilst massaging. I put on a lot of pressure so I can’t believe it hasn’t broke yet. Best on market I’ve ever bought.

I love these back scratchers. They're really good quality and, most importantly, the head does not swivel around too much when you use it (unlike some of the cheaper ones). The handle is substantial and the telescopic arm is stiff enough so that it stays in place when extended. I've bought a lot of back scratchers over the years and, as far as telescopic ones go, these are the best so far.

Absolutely excellent, if you need a present for someone who has everything, this is it. Something no one buys themselves, but a great gift. Really work well very sturdy.

I like these because I can put one in my handbag and put the others in different rooms. Perfect size for my handbag.
