Great Light, Good Value
I teach disaster preparedness, and this is one of the items I tested for use in a disaster kit. It is simple to use, has a good lighting pattern. I also like the fact that it uses regular batteries that can be changed as needed instead of being a rechargeable unit. Highly recommended!

Simple. Value. Performance.
Great value for lumens. Bright enough to pick up dog doody at night but not too bright to work under the hood of a car. No bells or whistles - just on/off with a press on the single button. Hold the button to dim. Hold it again to brighten. The lamp blinks when it reaches the lowest and highest levels while dimming. I use nickel-metal rechargeable AAA batteries. I have about an hour of runtime so far without having to charge.

I love it!
So many of the headbands have colored lights and a variety of modes - so many that it is not convenient if you just want to turn a light on and off. This one is great. Click its on, click its off. Click and hold and it dims. Click and hold again and it brightens. Double click and it goes into strobe mode. That's it. Comes with 3 coppertop batteries!.When you turn it off, it remembers the brightness level it was set at, and turns on at that level! What a concept! The tilt feature uses a stiff hinge and holds position wellAdjusts from quite bright to quite dim. Great for all kinds of close work

For reading, this is the best.
I have many headlamps, powered by AA, AAA, lithium (multiple kinds), and rechargeable, with all kinds of features including both white (warm and cool color temps) and red light and multiple power levels from maybe 20 lumens up to 700.But not one comes close to this for reading. Why? First of all, it's floody. You need that to cover the whole page without a hotspot in the center. (Floody is also helpful if you're tinkering with the fuse box while the power is out.) Floody lights are hard to come by. Zebralight makes them, but high-end makers are mostly interested in throwers. It makes their lights seem more powerful. Also, most of the lights are made of metal and so are heavier. This one is plastic and lightweight. Some of the fancy ones also drain while not in use, although you can loosen the battery chamber to prevent that. Moreover, when you just want to read (or maybe anytime?), you don't need to fuss with a finicky user interface and hoards of options. This light comes on high (which is not too high) and you can dim it if needed by tapping the one simple switch. That's it. Takes three AAA batteries, easy to change, and they last a reasonable time. Simple. There are some other similar plastic lights. I have a few and they are usable for reading. But this one is the best.

Battery compartment stiff
As someone who spends most days fixing machinery I consider myself relatively competent at the art of replacing batteries. This headlamp proved me wrong. It was shockingly difficult to open the battery compartment! This was a gift for my wife and when she said she couldn’t open the compartment I laughed to myself. Then I tried. I wasn’t laughing anymore.Despite the life changing experience of trying to open the battery compartment the lamp is good, very bright and easy to operate with only three settings (on, more on, off).

A great headlamp
Bright. Excellent for close work, but gives a wide arc of light 10 or 12 feet away. Excellent for electrical work, where you may have to shut off surrounding lights to do the job. Easy to use; comfortable headband.

Great for the price!
It does what I need it to for work, its lightweight and the elastic band is well made. I use rechargeable AAA batteries in mine. Would recommend!
