Called
Lisa Jefferson was swept up into 9/11 when a phone call from Flight 93 was answered in the Verizon call center. Lisa, a supervisor saw an employee's distress and went rather reluctantly to relieve her. On the other end of the line was Todd Beamer. Time stopped for the next 15 minutes while she talked and prayed with Todd and hung on even after his "Let's roll" and she stayed on that phone until others could convince her that the plane was confirmed crashed. This is the story of what happened to Lisa Jefferson before, during and after this terrible day. Lisa had a comfortable life routine before but God and Flight 93 changed that. Go on the journey with Lisa and God, experience the marvelous events that happen in Lisa's life through God. Learn about some of the Flight 93 families and what their response when they found out about their loved ones. This is a powerful book of how God works with and through us through tragedy. Lisa graciously shows us her road.

Called: "Hello, my name is Mrs. Jefferson,..."
It's my opinion that the title of the book is "Called: ..." The author does an excellent job of making the reader feel like they were there when she took the call from Todd Beamer. I found myself crying as I read this book. The "coincidences," if you want to believe it, are signs that God has plans for everyone. As an example, Todd's wife has the same first name as the author. Many people try to find the positives in tragedies, while others ask "Where was God?" This book tells them. He was with the people in the planes, in the buildings, and He was with the rest of us as the events took place. This book tells the story of an operator that was drawn into the events of 9/11. She was on the phone with Todd Beamer all the way until the assault on the cockpit. The last words she heard was, "Let's Roll." This phrase was heard in stories about United flight 93. The operator gives you insight on how that phone call changed her life.

Short and Inspirational
I liked her honesty and humility. I also enjoyed reading about her connection with Lisa Beamer. A lovely piece of the tragedy puzzle.

Moving and thoughtful
This was a real book with real feelings that brought it home to me. Where were you on 9/11? I cant imagine all Lisa went through with knowing she was the last one to talk to this man. The only one to have heard and felt it crash. I am thankful there are people out there taking my emergency calls who truly care. She is who I would have wanted on the other end had I been in a situation as dire as this. I appreciate her candor in this easy to read but moving book.

Enjoyed the honesty of the book
Enjoyed the honesty of the book. I read afterwards that FBI questioned the validity of the call but I didn't accept that at all and accepted a lot would be written about this kind and generous lady that was put in a position of great difficulty .

Called - an easy read with a powerful message
No one should miss reading this book. Poignant in its recalling that terrible day from a very unique perspective, it is even more powerful in how it presents, in Lisa Jefferson's own words, her unswerving faith in God and how He gave her strength she says she did not know she had. This is a must read for anyone wants to understand better what role God can play in our lives, if only we will let Him. Lisa did, and does, and it shows through her words.

A very short book but also interesting to read. The author, Lisa Jefferson, also talks a lot about God and how He was there on that day. If you are a firm believer with God, you will believe what was wrote in this book.

Another 9/11 Book
This book raised a lot of questions. Why would you phone a complete stranger & not a loved one if you were on a plane taken over by terrorists. Why was the call not recorded. This story seems more made up in the hope of cashing in on the 9/11 tragedy
