Great tool
Excellent tool to add to your set. Fun to use. Accurate enough for new to use as an electrician. It does a bunch of cool stuff like measure angles. I keep this on my tool bags with my tape measure.

EXTREMELY WEAK LASER
I am a contractor and I needed this laser meter to measure outside heights of commercial buildings. As its specifications mention distances of up to 196 feet, I thought this was the real deal; in fact most of buildings I work with don’t reach 50’. Also, with the Pythagoras things and everything I had no doubt this was what I was looking for, but it wasn’t. Just at a few feet up in the exterior, the laser literally disappears. How on earth can you measure up to 196 feet when at less than 15 feet you cannot see the freaking laser anymore? My suggestion is if you are s housewife or somebody that needs this gadget to take quick and short measures inside the house, this is for you, but if you are a contractor like me that needs it to take a lot of exterior measurements, then look for something else.I’m very disappointed!

Good overall
product designed to be nonslip but it brings a problem when trying to lay it flat. Overall easy to use and accurate

Decent gadget
I measured the width of my windows with a tape measure then with this & they were pretty close. I feel like I need to really study the manual to get a better understanding of how this works. I need a precise measure of an awkward space to cut wood for a shelf and I am not quite confident enough to rely on this for my measurements. Once I get more adept with this machine I’ll give it another try and update my review.

really handy
Basic use is quick and easy. As long as there is a reasonable surface to reflect off it's great. A lot of features for the price. Wish I'd gotten one long ago.

Laser Tape Measure is a must have
This laser tape measure is a great tool to have in your toolbox. I find it to be very accurate both in distance measurements and the calculating of an angle. This is going to be very handy when having to measure long distances. No need for a 75-100 foot roll-up tape measure anymore. Obviously, the laser tape measure must have a surface that the laser terminates against, but with a little imagination that is easily solved if you are trying to measure exterior wall dimensions. It stores a history of your measurements, and the ability to calculate the area and volume of a space is also very cool. I have yet to test the 2 and 3 point Pythagoras calculations, but based upon everything else, I would recommend having one of these in your collection of tools.

Fine for lower light, daytime not so much
The media could not be loaded. I grabbed this to do some very measurements outdoors like running a water line and some Network cable. My biggest issue that I find is that the laser is very hard to see during the daytime and in bright sunlight, unlike in the video that I posted here, it doesn't seem to work most of the time. I will end up with a 255 error which I'm assuming means too much light or too bright in the optics. I know I'm not beyond the distance when I'm getting that error, so I assume it's just the device. For using indoors, it seemed to work good most of the time. Having a reflective surface to measure to is probably the key here. The laser also assists you in seeing if a wall is out of plum. The built-in degree finder is also a very excellent feature. This measuring device can also do many other complex calculations including area and length of the cord on a truss. The carrying case is also very nice and if you put it in correctly it will stop you from pushing the power button and running the battery dead.

Great laser measure at a fair price
For the past several years, I've been using a Bosch laser measure on a daily basis, but unfortunately I managed to break it. Now, I'm auditioning the lower-cost alternatives in hopes I can find something about as good for significantly less cost - and that's what led me to this Mileseey unit.On paper, the Mileseey stacks up well - it has about all the same features as my much more expensive Bosch unit does, even though it's a small fraction of the price. In fact, the Mileseey includes a built-in inclinometer, giving it a bunch of additional features...if anything, it does things my Bosch never did.In actual use, I like the Mileseey...it compact size fits well in your hand, yet the screen is large and bright enough to be easy to see, even in bright sunlight. It records your last 50 measurements, and with the built in inclinometer, it can compute things like the height of a wall just by measuring the distance to the top and bottom. It also does all the areas and volume calculations my older Bosch did, so there's nothing missing in terms of basic functionality.Outdoors, I notice that the laser struggles in bright sunlight, limiting the maximum range somewhat. As other reviewers note, it can be difficult to see the laser in sunlight, so it can be hard to even know what you're measuring on a sunny day. I seldom measure distances over about 50 feet, so this isn't a big issue for me, but if you routinely need more, you might want to shop for a device with a brighter laser.Otherwise, I find the accuracy exceptional - easily within the +/- 1/16th inch the manufacturer claims, at least indoors over short distances.Mine has also been fairly rugged and has survived a few drops from a six foot ladder, so I'm encouraged that it can withstand some abuse.Overall, I don't have anything negative to say about this MIleseey unit - it gets the job done, it's easy to use and it seems rugged enough to hold up to daily use. Given the low price, it's definitely worth a look.
