Best buy overall
These were good price and delivered the next day. They served my purpose well. I was replacing a bed frame to go with and old school headboard and footboard set. In the first picture you will see that I forgot to leave the quarter inch lip off of the end of the boards. If you have the same kind of hook lock system in my pics, you will need that quarter inch to go in to the slot that holds the hooks. Check to make sure the hooks match your system before attaching them to your boards. These went with number 6 1 1/2 in screws. You can also use bolts. If there was anything I could say could improve the product it's that it didn't come with bolts or screws. With that being said a box of good quality screws is a couple of bucks. All together when compared with the prices of similar products sold on Amazon I'd say these are the best deal.

Great strong universal product!
Great bed hooks! Sturdy...installing the hooks was the easiest part of building the side rails! I used #6, 1/2 inch screws.Tips for building side rails: The side rail beams were 1 in x 6in pine boards (which I later stained). For my queen size bed I had them cut down to 75 inches (because the design on my headboard allowed for smaller beams. Most are 80-82 inch beams for Queen size beds.) Then I had a 1 x 2" board cut down to 74 inches. This connects to the side rail to allowed your supporting beams to rest on. Attaching this piece is the HARDEST part of the project! Don't waste your time using L-shaped brackets with small screws!!! They will rip out under the weight of the mattress. Your mattress will collapse and the side beams stay in place. Learn from my mistake and just go ahead and get the #12, 2 to 2 1/4 inch wood screws and attach the supporting rail to the side beam WITH WOOD GLUE. I pre-drilled the holes before adding the screws. I was told that I could do it every 6 inches but given that my bed had collapsed now twice, I wasn't taking chances and instead put them about every 2 inches. The screws I bought came in a pack of 50 so I just planned on using all of them. I cut additional beams to go across the bed at 62 inches and Wala the project was done! Other peoples comments on using this product, along with YouTube videos help the most in completing this project . The metal hook plates are strong and sturdy! They are the easiest part of this project, buy them!!!!!

worked like a charm....
I had traced one of the old hook plates onto a piece of paper to compare to these before I opened the package to verify it was the same size. These worked perfectly as I had to build a replacement side rail for a queen sized bed. Very sturdy, delivered fast and I couldn't be more pleased.
