That drive was smaller and full. The swap wasn't trivial (at least not the way I did it), but once it was complete I not only had more space but my system seemed to be running much faster. I used EaseUS Todo Backup to upgrade my system drive, so I didn't lose anything. The non-trivial parts were 1) there wasn't a way to tell it to put all the new space in the main partition, that had to be done manually with a drag and drop interface that was made a little tricky because some of the partitions were too small to really show up on the display so I had to move my mouse very carefully in order to find and drag them, 2) I originally tried to build the new drive with it plugged in via a USB 3.0 adapter, but the resulting drive wasn't bootable, plugging it directly in using a SATA port on my motherboard and letting the software reboot and copy standalone solved that problem. It seemed that the problem had to do with Secure Boot not accepting the drive when I tried it the other way. None of those issues had anything to do with the drive, just my own inexperience at doing this kind of upgrade, and likely my inexperience with the software. Once I muddled through this, I was very happy with the result. The disk has been running for close to two months, and I have had no issues with it at all. Review: Great SSD, especially if you have a VR setup - These drives are still expensive compared to spinning ones, but my previous (spinning) drive was failing and I decided to take the plunge. This SSD was so small and light that I thought the package was empty (I'm sure the same is true for other brands). Looks nice (black metal with the sticker as shown). Functions great so far. Boot time is a little faster (but not as fast as others have reported, Windows 10 likes to take its time...). But once the computer starts, everything is faster. I have a very high spec machine and I was kind of disappointed that it felt so slow with Windows 10 compared to other operating systems I had used on the same hardware, but with this SSD things are snappy again. Very fast response times. I also have an Oculus Rift and I can confirm that this made a huge difference in load times during games.

Did not work for me. I think I just got a bad one...
I had used a Reactor 1TB drive in the past with no problem. This one was nothing but problems. Put it on a USB adapter and 3 computers had trouble seeing it. Finally my Macbook Pro saw it, so attempted to use Carbon Copy Cloner to copy the drive in the laptop. It ran a couple hours and then disconnected without finishing. Very slow writes, was actually slower than a 160GB mechanical drive. It finally copied, but would not boot. I sent it back and replaced it with a Crucial MX300 drive that worked with no problems. I think I just got a bad Triactor drive. I noticed that when I plugged the cable into the MX300 that is fit a lot tighter than it had on the Triactor. I probably just got a bad one...

meh.
Purchased four of these between August and November 2017. Three of them seem to be fine, but the fourth is already showing a Reallocated Sectors count that's climbing each day. Going to pull the flaky one out of use and see how well Mushkin stands behind their product.

It's OK. Doesn't boot as fast as others
It's OK. Doesn't boot as fast as others. No issues. I had faster boot times with the Silicon Power 1TB SSD that I previously bought.

SSD with a bang for your buck
I upgraded to the Triactor 3D 1TB SSD from a 256gb SSD that came with my laptop I bought in 2014. As a sound engineer and producer, I wanted to load all my samples using an internal SSD, so my sessions wouldn't be bogged down using an external RPM drive. Now my PC and Ableton sessions run snappier than ever. Despite being a TLC drive, the new 3D technology doesn't sacrifice any speed. I was tentative when purchasing this at first, but a 1TB SSD at this price is definitely a steal (I got it $10 cheaper on Black Friday). Plus, the specs are definitely well worth it. I've only been using it for about a week, so I may update this review if I see my system starts to get sluggish. But for now, I highly recommend this drive for anyone needing more space and speed.

A most impressive drive for PS4 Pro.
Installed this into my PS4 Pro after losing my Seagate Hybrid. Real benchmarks can be found online from a variety of sources, and those note a difference of only seconds on drive operations. I'm surprised at the impact of those seconds. Booting even from a powered-off state is painless, and wake-up from sleep is nearly instantaneous. Load times for games and transitions have dropped noticably. It's overall a more enjoyable experience for console gamers. I highly recommend this drive if you can deal with the 1 terabyte size. The 2TB version costs almost as much as the console itself, and not everyone wants to deal with an external drive conversion.
