Good Cable
It's kind of hard to review a cable (what, really, can you say about a cable, aside from the fact that it acts like a cable?) but this is, as cables go, an excellent one. I bought it to replace a lost cable for my TK-407 KVM switch. It worked perfectly, as expected. It appears to be an exact replacement for the one I lost, except for being slightly longer (I got the 10' version, to give me a little extra flexibility in placement of one of the computers). If you need a replacement multi-connector cable for a TK-407, or possibly other TrendNet KVM switches (one would expect they use the same style of cable) this is the one you want. It's well-made, no ill-fitting connectors or anything, and it does what a cable should do. Recommended.

Quality KVM USB Cable
I am using this KVM cable with the matching TRENDnet TK-804R USB PS/2 combination console port OSD KVM switch. The length is good, the quality is excellent, cable fits right into all connections and screws on, plugs in with no problems. The KVM switch instantly recognized each computer when I powered it up, and each computer attached. I used a standard CTX 19" VGA CRT monitor for my setup and tests. The OSD shows the computer number and device number (KVM switch # in a stack) with the monitor powered on, computers off. Despite there being only a single USB connector to the computer side, my Intel motherboards with Windows XP SP3 have no problem recognizing each mouse and keyboard connected to the KVM Console ports. So far I've used a Mi- crosoft Wired Keyboard 600 USB, Logitech K300 Compact USB Keyboard, Microsoft Wheel Optical Mouse, and Microsoft USB OEM Optical Mouse, without any problems. I also tried the Microsoft Wired Keyboard 500 PS/2 as a reference, and Microsoft Wheel Optical Mouse, PS/2 compatible, through the PS/2 Console ports, and they work too. I'd say you can mix and match any PS/2 compatible or USB mouse and/or keyboard in any combination, and it will work for you too. Highly recommend this cable, the TK-CU15 longer version, and the TRENDnet TK-804R KVM switch for computers. I haven't tested these items with any server yet, so no verdict on that setup.

Works great but why the heck aren't these included with the KVM?
These cables worked great for my TrendNet KVM, but I was completely puzzled when I opened the KVM box and saw no cables. There's no mention of this anywhere. TrendNet really needs to put proper notification on the box and also with their online retailers that CABLES ARE REQUIRED.

Bought by mistake
Unable to use It. My fault, not the product.

Does exactly what it is supposed to do, and uses little space to do it.
Okay sure, it's no Cat 6 cable, but for a KVM cable (not KVM over IP) it is very slender, and supple, easy to route, does not allow interference from close by audio amplifiers, and is super easy to connect. I am pleased as punch with these. Yes they are kind of one trick ponies as they only work with the TrendNET TK-803R, TK-804R, and I believe the 16 port version of the TK-803R which model number escapes me now... Anyway, they seem very well made, and provide more than ample connection between the KVM and the computers. I haven't tried connecting to a Sun system yet, but I don't see why it wouldn't work with a Sun as long as it had VGA and USB ports...

Lead but no lead?
As you can see from my picture there's both the prop 65 warning for lead and a sticker that says "No Lead." While it's not why I bought the item, one cannot conclude that it is lead free with such a contradiction going on. Anyway this won't work for what I need, I'm looking to attach a VGA monitor to a laptop via the laptop's USB port. So apparently I need a converter. I am returning this.

Good replacement KVM Cable
One of my Trendnet cables had some of the pins get bent, so the screen didn't have red coming through, so it was fairly green. The replacement cable was a great price and just what was needed. I have a 23" monitor for two Dell laptops, and two Dell PC (one is a Pentium 4 running a lite Linux) and I've had no issue with the setup or cables, other than user error.

Exact replacement
This was an exact replacement for a cable that intermittently failed on my TK-409K 4 port VGA port sharing device. Originally tried to repair broken wires on existing cable but that turned out to be impossible. So next best thing to do and much easier was to just replace cable. The only difference between my original cable and the new one is the color of the plastic connector housing. The new one is blue instead of original white. Don't let that deter you. It works perfectly just the same.
