I been wanting to try a Russian ration for a while. Tonight my daughters and I got that chance. This ration arrived this afternoon and everything was fresh.We all agreed the mains were very good with the meat and beef being the best. The beef and rice came in third but still very good.The sides left something to be desired. I guess it's an acquired taste. The honey was first rate and the chocolate bar was probably the best I have ever had. (Real dark chocolate not wax).Next time I go camping I will bring one of these along. (Minus the sides).

Great ration, food was great, but the Brain Pate was an interesting try, so if you like that type of pate or meat spread, go right ahead. Everything else was amazing, even the Apple Jam, some reason in Russia, Apple Butter and Apple Jam is amazing, found the Apple Butter, but can't find the Apple Jam.

No punctures or melted chocolate. Everything was made the second of this year (2018.) Missing water purification tabs and a second creamer, but everything else is there.

Main course cans were outdated by 7 months....ate them anyway and no problems. The apple jam had exploded in the box causing everything to stick together...could have been a better experience.

Great item. Fresh and in still has long shelf life. Would buy more if available.
