Dash Juicer is impossible to assemble for use
I'll leave the original review below. We've had this for about six weeks and we've been unable to force the auger into the locking mechanism more than half of the time. We used Amazon answers and got a helpful reply, but even that strategy is not reliable. My wife wants to make juice everyday after work. You have to assemble the juicer and the auger is used to lock the moving parts together. Wow she gets so frustrated! You can't force it in far enough to make it lock. Unlocked, it won't power on. Of course I offer to help and I keep in mind the instructions from the Amazon user. My success rate is about 50%. If I have a hard time, my wife says, "Just forget it." She puts the disassembled juicer parts back into the cabinet. Now that we have had it for six weeks, it is past the return eligible date. I hope that the seller will respond and make this right. We're out a hundred bucks and unable to make juice when we want to. _______________________________ My wife bought this and I was there for its first use. She had washed it earlier and I watched her put it together. This is self-evident and easy to do. I was visiting on the phone with a relative while I watched. She had chopped bitter melon, carrot and cucumber. It did a great job of extracting the pulp. She said that she may substitute or add celery to adjust the flavor to her liking. What I saw was a very thin stream of juice, by "thin" I don't mean weak, I mean not viscous. That's called juice! A lot of pulp went into the other container. I was still on the phone while watching her clean it at the sink. It was easy. Basically, she will be juicing for one. She believes -- and she's not alone in this -- that the bitter melon juice lowers her blood sugar. It was lower this week after drinking bitter melon tea, but I'm getting off the subject. We expect it to last well, with her light use of it. Before buying I looked for numbers like wattage and RPM's and could not find anything like that. No matter. It has plenty of power to do the job quickly and efficiently. The price is right. A person could pay hundreds of dollars for a juicer. This one costs less than a hundred. The BEST PART is the small footprint. Given that every other aspect is just fine, the small footprint makes this DASH Extractor a very happy purchase for us.

Clogs up quickly
Initially I loved this little juicer. It has a very small footprint, it’s easy to use, easy to clean, and you get quite a bit of juice. My one complaint, and it’s one that is really putting me off, is that the Shute where the waste product comes out gets clogged up quickly and the only was to clear it is to take the whole machine apart. One of the main vegetables I wanted to use is kale and celery and both of them clog it up badly! If it wasn’t for this one bad feature this would be an 8+ machine.

The compact juicer
Awesome method to make juice from fruits and veggies the easy way. This is not a centrifugal method where you must drink your juices right away to get all the nutrients before they "die". This Dash Cold Press Juicer makes the goodness that can survive 24 to 48 hours in the refrigerator... or for long in the freezer. Makes me think about so bad is to buy bottled and labeled juices on the supermarket where the product is "pasteurized" or with added conserving chemicals to obtain shelf longevity, so the good nutrients are "killed" and at the end you're just buying flavored juice without absolutely no nutrients at all but including sugar and flavor enhancers. Other fantastic thing... the capacity to extract juice from leafy veggies like kale or spinach. Fibrous veggies should be diced or thin sliced before, like celery or asparagus, if not, the fibrous pulp can clog the pulp output. This is a "masticating" (chewing) process. It's not slow as some people use to say. It just takes its time to produce juice. But it's so easy.... Cleaning is fast and no messy. I recommend this device for single or double batches (not for big families). I did a lot of juices so far and one single batch take me about 20 minutes to prepare from setting up the juicer, cutting and preparing fruits and veggies till storing the device back in the cabinet washed. Awesome... One important detail, there's a small black silicone restrainer located on the pulp output that could be pulled out for easy cleaning. I'm a little concerned about the "sherbet" or "ice cream" attachment that I never used so far. "masticate" frozen fruits looks the same as crushing stones. I don't want to break it as I heard from other users. Best thing maybe is to thaw fruits to soften a little. Other nice thing I'm experimenting is creating healthy sodas in conjunction with my sodastream. After carbonating a bottle, just pour the juice gently in the bottle as you pour a beer on a glass. Cap it and leave in the refrigerator for a while. Watery or liquidish juices gives me better results than those thicker, so far. I did cocumber soda and pear soda. Good Results. I assume Orangeades, Lemonades Watermelon sodas will be great. Variations with flavors like ginger or mint are probably awesome. Don't forget that the cleaning brush and feeder plate are located outside the styrofoam package when you unpack it. I thought those items are missing till I decided to dispose the styrofoam. This is a small appliance and obviously not intended to perform like those heavy duty machines that costs 10 times more. Take care of it and it take care of yourself. Enjoy and have fun.

Lightweight and compact
Very nice juicer, the taste of juice is amazing and rich! 👍🏻 But you should cut all greens, fruits or vegetables for very small pieces Otherwise it is gonna stuck. If you do everything right - it is gonna work very well. I travel with it cause it is small, lightweight and compact So you can have healthy fresh in any place of the world with you. Very nice thing. Recommend it 100%! 👍🏻
