Not only does this table solve that problem, it also solves problems with my laptop getting too hot as it has a built in fan as well as an LED light, both powered by USB. It also has a 4 port USB hub built right in as well as a little drawer for pens and other such things. It was a breeze to put together and is really sturdy. I highly recommend this table!! Update: 5/16/14: I like this table so much, that I bought one as a birthday gift for my friend, and she loves hers just as much. I don't have a single complaint about this table. It's well worth the money. Review: With some extra effort, it's a decent desk. - I bought two of these, one for me and one for my wife. Once I got all done with some improvised hacks, they work well for the purpose. But, if you don't want to have to do extra work for a simple laptop desk, you may want to avoid it. Here's what I had to do: First, the screws that secure the wheels to the base are cheap and soft. The wheel housings themselves weren't drilled properly, so the screws end up spinning in place and wearing the threads smooth. I replaced with some quality screws from my own stash of hardware. Any hardware store will have what you need for a couple bucks or less, if you don't have some laying around already. Second, the first night I had mine set up, my son knocked it over and the desktop separated from the joint that holds it to the stand. It comes screwed in and glued to the desktop, but the screws have barely a single thread going into the surface and will pull right out of the material. The glue alone is never going to hold it against any kind of stress. So, I re-glued it for temporary stability, let it dry, then drilled from the bottom, through both the black plastic joint structure and then desktop. there are six spots that are perfect for this, all lined up with some other bolts closer to the center. You go all the way through, then turn it back over. Countersink just a bit with a larger drill bit, and then you can put bolts through it with nuts on the other side to secure. My laptop covers these nicely, but if you prefer a smooth surface you could get some wood putty and fill it back in over the tops of the bolts. Again, any hardware store will have bolts and putty that will work. Last night my wife's got knocked over and the same thing happened, so we'll have to fix hers as well. In summary, there's a bit of a quality problem with the parts, but if you like tinkering with things you can turn this into a pretty serviceable desk for an extra $5 or so, assuming you already have a drill at home. If the price on these goes back up above $50, you're better off getting something else.

With some extra effort, it's a decent desk.

Excellent Laptop Desk
I researched many desks before settling on this one. It was easy to assemble and it is very solid in its craftsmanship. It rolls well and the adjustable height and pivoting table top is fantastic for use on a couch, as the low-profile wheels slide right under, bringing the laptop table right into your lap. I am actually looking to buy a second one as well. Highly recommended and it is actually attractive and not bulky. March 2015 Update - I now own two of these tables, and they continue to perform well, and store discretely. I still highly recommend them.

Quality, functionality, and style have their price
For the price, this is a pretty good buy. Mind you, you will need to assemble it yourself. The materials seem sturdy, we've only had them for a few days, and they seem to be fitting their need. We did buy two, and on each one, the holes of the vertical bar plate that are used to connect it to the rolling base did not line up on either one. Since I have no intention of returning them, I used my drill to lengthen one of the holes so they could match up. On the upside, the built in fan is a huge bonus, as well as the sub board on the side, and the small drawer for assorted things (phone, pens, gum, etc.). I have experienced a connection issue with the usb board. it kept reporting as if an accessory was being inserted and removed. Four star rating for price, quality, functionality, and style. One star removed for poor craftsmanship of individual parts not fitting and connection issue with usb board. All in all, a good, quality buy.

Wonderful
I was pleasantly surprised with the quality when I opened the package. I like how the desk came with an additional drawer for pencils and such that I had not before realized. My only concern was the light. It seems to have a little bit of difficulty standing up on its own. It seems very flimsy and does not hold like the picture displays. Other than that, I am pleased with this product and would recommend it to other buyers.

A really nice little table for two months
For the price it's a really nice little table. The built in fan works very well with my laptop with a nice powerful stream of air that is quiet. The ability to raise and lower the table is easy, I also like the swivel feature too, making it real nice to maneuver the table into smaller more awkward spaces. -UPDATE- after two months the table was no longer adjustable, at first it started slipping down, and then it's lock (to keep it place) got stuck in the lock position (even though it was slowly slipping down) and I could no longer lift it up. The fan burned out, and I ended up tossing the damn thing in the trash. I went back to using my folding table, and buying nice chill plates (for the same price) that work wonders. I wouldn't waste money on this POS, spend extra on a better table that isn't going to break so quickly.
