I’ve only just begun to eat my way through this exquisite box of assorted dark chocolates. The second piece I had was a lemon cream that itself was worth the price of the box! If only I could have an entire box of that one type! But each is good in its own way. I will hope for a second lemon cream as I progress through the collection.

I did eventually like this chocolate. However, I was initially disappointed in the lack of variety in the fillings. I was expecting a combination of chewy, crunchy, whipped lightness, creamy, etc., that you normally get in a chocolate assortment. Instead all the insides are basically the same with little variation in texture or consistency. The outside chocolate does taste top quality, however, and I found that if you hold it in your mouth for a little bit the overall experience improves dramatically. Bottom line: it's good but not great. For a few more dollars you can get Neuhaus chocolates, which are definitely superior.
