Therm-a-Rest NeoAir Venture WV Mattress Regular

It's not going to replace your king sized mattress, but it's pretty damn solid for any backpacking or camping person out there. I used this from June-October in Idaho and it was the 3rd most valuable piece of equipment I had after my sleeping bag and hiking boots. I'm glad I got this one.PROs:1. Extremely durable. I put this thing through all sorts of hell and it came out almost perfect. What finally killed this thing for me was I literally ran it over with my truck on a gravel road. I honestly think this air mattress would have been fine by itself, but at the time I had the mattress held together with a bungee cord, and I think that, under pressure, pierced the mattress. I've been trying to fix it with tape and glue, but so far to no avail. Considering everything I put this mattress through though, I think for it to take being run over before it fails is very impressive.2. Pretty comfortable. I slept on this thing every night. It takes a little bit of getting used to, but once I did, I could sleep on this anywhere. I'm a 6' tall, not very small person, and this mattress fit me just right.3. Easy to blow up. It wasn't too much of an effort to blow up.4. Kept air. It would take about a week of sleeping on it before this mattress started to lose a noticeable amount of air.5. Very light and mobile. Easy to move around and even carry in a pack for backpackersCONs:1. The air valve is a little annoying. While it's hard to see where you could put the valve on a mattress this compact, it took some getting used to to sleep with the valve either in your face or at your feet. It can also get a little dirty, which is not fun for putting your mouth on.Overall, this is a really good air mattress for the money for any camper out there.

I'm pretty impressed by the quality and comfort of this for the price. We'll see about longevity but initial impression is good. Easy to inflate and deflate. Wish it was a little longer or that the taller one was more inline with the price. Seems comfortable on both back and stomach, not sure about side.

Most comfortable air mattress I have ever rested on. I have tested quite a few. The thermarest Neo-Air Xlite and Xtherm are 2 of my other favorites, but cost 2.5x as much. They make more noise when you are using them, collapse around the edges, and they are not as comfortable against bare skin. This one is superb. Great value, a bit more bulkier and doesn't pack down as well, but for the extra comfort, the pack size and added weight are worth the compromise. The material this mattress is made of feels so nice it reminds me of home. It is not advised but I have thrown this thing in a pool and used it as a flotation device and it worked without a flaw. It is easy to inflate, just took me about 20 breaths or so. Very firm and easy to adjust to comfort, and it does not collapse around the edges like many others. You will not be disappointed.

It was lightweight and compact, but not the comfort level I was expecting. My shoulders and hips were quite sore and I tossed and turned the night I tried to use it. I will probably return.

After reading reviews regarding the comfort of this pad, decided to try it out despite the noise complaints. It is definitely comfortable but I didn't like the loud crinkly sound this pad made. I read other reviews saying that over time it would lessen, but still be some what noisey. Decided to return it and try a different pad.

I have not done a lot of reviews but I felt that this mattress needed one. We (my wife and I) do a lot of camping off our motorcycles. We are not as young as we once were and love motorcycle camping. We ride for many hours and travel many miles. We both suffer from NBS (Numb butt syndrome) after a long day of riding a good night sleep is a must. I did a lot of research on air mattress and sleeping pads. I was looking for something lightweight small in sized thicker than a cardboard box that would fit in our side cases. We just completed a 4200 mile trip out west and this mattress (Therm-a-Rest NeoAir Venture WV Mattress) in conjunction with our cots (Therm-A-Rest LuxuryLite Mesh Cot) gave both of us some of the best sleep we have ever had on a camping trip. We stayed 3 nights in hotels and we both agreed that our camping mattress and cots were much better than the hotel beds. Some said it was noisy to lay on but I was too exhausted to notice. All in all it’s a great mattress made of strong material, 2inch thick inflated, compact, very comfortable and a good price.

I am quite disappointed. I ordered this after much research for an upcoming bike packing / cycle touring trip in the Indian Himalayas.I heard this was quite a durable and popular light weight mattress. Anyways, I received my package a couple of days before I was to leave. I took the sealed package with me and opened it in when I got to India only to find a tear/ cut in it... it was completely useless / air will not stay in. I am going to write to Therm-a-Rest as well, but it seems that India is not covered in their "worldwide" service centers(???) and my trip starts next week for a month. Waste of my money.

I researched several air mattresses and settled on the Therm-a-Rest NeoAir Venture WV Mattress. It rated well for comfort and durability and is light enough for backpacking (although it's not ultra-light). It lived up to expectations. It is comfortable, well-constructed, and seems like it should take real use and a little abuse without puncturing. Sizes through regular are 20 inches wide, but I knew that going in and opted to sacrifice a little comfort to save weight and cost. I sleep on side mostly, and sometimes on stomach and back and was comfortable in any of those positions. Pad offers minimal insulation, not so good for cold weather camping. Price is competitive when compared to other options. Works great for me!

It's a great product if you're looking for a comfortable mattress that doesn't take too much space in a backpack. It's easy to fold and store in its small pouch.The thermarest brand is one of the best, if not the best and having slept on their mattresses a good handful of times, i got convinced by people in my circle to get one too. This particular model maybe isn't the most optimal in terms of shape and weight but it does well what it's intended to do, and at a fair price

This was bought after a very long consideration of all the options, and there are many; Firstly I decided it had to be 'Therm-A-Rest' because then I knew I had the Build Quality sorted! Then the Price was considered because of my tight budget (but in retrospect I don't believe anything with a Higher Price Tag would necessarily have been better suited); The Self-Inflating Mats are great, & have been my choice in the past, however this is much much more compact when folded down (+ a lot Lighter) and a lovely 'full length' 183cm when operational (no need for the 3/4 length option).The short horizontal elongated Cells make more sense than the lengthwise tubing (which quite frankly I'd find awkward & remind me too much of a plain old Pool Lilo) - this, with its reinforced 75D outer fabric is not even remotely related to such an item. As I'm a Side Sleeper the 2" Depth offers great support for my hip & shoulders, much more so than any Self-Inflating Mat ever did.*Although the Horizontal Cells may look to be quite prominent in some Pictures/Descriptions!? they really are not at all, in fact running your hand along the inflated flat surface there is very little undulation noticed.Thermarest has Pedigree & a Superb Reputation so I knew I was setting off on the right footing, but this bit of kit surprised me still - 'Extreme Comfort' and 'WaveCore' Technology used in the internals makes for a warm cozy on-the-go bed.http://www.cascadedesigns.com/therm-a-rest/about/technologyGreat Review 4 min video here:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1lKmpR1a_84p.s. 安いのにマットは厚くて文句なしです。膨らませるには私の場合１５回吹き込めばパンパンになりました。スタッフバックは他の方が仰る通り、二つ折りだと余裕持って入れられます。私の場合は三つ折りにして余ったスペースにピローと、枕カバーを入れて寝具セットにしています。

I absolutely love this air mattress it's lightweight and it compacts nice and small. I've used it for the last year of camping and it doesn't seem to be showing any wear or tear!

My son has struggled to find a sleeping mat that is comfy and affordable - and lasts! This is it! It has done several camping trips and 2 festivals this summer - is very comfy and is still in one piece- a winner!! And it folds into a really small bag so takes up no room in the rucksack. We bought the pump - which is a great little gadget but he actually just blows it up himself as it is so quick and easy to do.
