Pros:Super easy setup, fits a shortbed perfect, nice small package.Cons: see notes below on the quality, but that aside there needs to be more ventilation on this thing. Spring and fall, youre good, but 70 degrees at night, youre sweating.BE CAREFUL with the locking connector feet that come locked, they break super easy and then you are SCREWED for getting the tent back in the bag when you tear down. The figure 8 is hard enough to achieve, and when you take the tent out be careful to make sure it doesnt spring open super fast because thats how mine broke.

Not worth the money for such cheap plastic parts used. Two plastic connectors broke during the breakdown figure-8 step.

The truck tent fits great in our Ford F150 with 6.5 ft bed. It extends onto the tailgate, and easily fits my 75" mattress with space to spare at the end for my shoes. I liked how easy it attached to the vehicle and that it didn't interfere with my kayak rack for height. I could sit on my mattresses stacked (6") without having my head hit the top of the domed part (I'm 5'9"). We were out over two very warm nights with heat advisories in affect during the day, but the airflow with all windows open was good enough to allow me to sleep.After the first night we pulled the tent out, sat it on the ground (mattresses & bedding still inside), and drove off for adventures. When we returned, we picked it up and slid it back in place. Only trick was getting the back poles around the wheel wells.We're thinking of building a deck at wheel well height so we have the full width the full length.Even though we had practiced setting up and closing it before we left on our trip, it still feels like its gonna break when you fold it up. My pop-up windshield cover, and my pop-up closthes hamper both have wire in them, this has fiberglass poles. I feel like the pop-up wire bends & flexes easier.We ended up, out of caution, just connecting the three loops, and laying it flat in the truck bed with the bedding on top of it. Minimal space taken, and we could roll down the truck bed cover. Finished closing it up and putting back in the bag when we got home.My partner doesn't read directions & "figures it out" and connected the wrong hoops together. Luckily I caught it before anything bad could happen - like a broken pole.So that's why I took off one star. I think it would be helpful to have color coding or something similar for the big poles that cross at the dome at their connection points. I'm thinking of painting on nail polish or using sharpies to color the matching ends. My partner connected B-to-C and C-to-B instead of C-to-C and B-to-B. I'm afraid that will happen again and he'll collapse & twist it and we'll have a broken pole or two.We didn't set up the rainfly, so I can't address how well it works. So far, loving this thing! Super handy!

the tent is great just as advertised. easy to pop up. It is difficult to fold and put down. one of the connectors broke on me but the seller was quick to respond and resolved the issue perfectly!

The first time I used this tent it worked out great. However I found it impossible to pack after the first use. The product listing as a video that shows how easy it is to pack. Don't believe that video for one minute. I ended up having to replace the fiberglass rods with ones that come apart. Also after only three camping trips the fly ripped and what I would consider only moderate windy conditions. I do not recommend this product be purchased by anyone who is looking for something easy to set up and pack after use.

I can never get comfortable when sleeping on the ground camping. I just like the feel of being a bit elevated so have been looking at truck tents for a while. Eighteentek has nailed the perfect truck tent in my opinion. Super easy and quick to open and secure to truck bed or ground if you prefer although the take down did take some practice but now its great. It had a surprisingly great amount of space inside. I think the slightly higher roof on the tent gives the feeling of more space and I appreciated it. Its great for 2 people. We fit our air mattress in no problem and I finally feel like a got a good sleep when camping. We did not encounter any rain but the quality of the tent seems like it would repel well against it. Highly recommend if you are looking for a durable quick easy truck tent. Also found the video posted on the take down to be very helpful. My only recommendation would be for Eighteentek to make the bag the tent is stored in to be backpack like for easy carrying. Almost like an upside "V" to slip on your back .

Took awhile to finally be able to go camping. We opened the tent the day before only to find out a pole was already completely snapped in half broken from the connection piece. I did read previous reviews where this happened as well. We still managed to put it together as the pole that is broken is the front one where the door is. We still took it out the next day (since we’ve been waiting so long and don’t have a second tent) and used it the entire trip. We just rigged it up with some ties and it somehow stayed up but the sleeping area was fine. It is honestly such a great idea and so easy to set up. Just sucks the pole strength wasn’t strong enough to make it through the shipping process. Returning it seems like a hassle due to not being able to close it back up so I’ll just take the loss. I really do recommend this tent as it is exactly like the description, but only buy it if you are able to risk wasting money or aren’t as lazy as I am to try and return it.

I liked the fact that I could use in or out of truck so it was like 2 tents in one. However by the time I was able to use the tent after I ordered it the front brace was broken and wouldn't stay up, and can't figure out how to get it folded back up to put back in pouch. Definitely not for 2 people. Everytime you move you are hitting the top and sides as it's really not ment to sit in just lay, and the condensation on tent was raining in on us all night so not really waterproof. And the rain flap makes it very hard to get in the tent and no real instructions on how to put that on

Mine arrived broken in several different places. Maybe it was the shipping that caused it. The poles are very weak. I was excited about this tent but sent it back and got a different one with stronger poles.

À peine sortie de sa boîte, j’ouvre le sac, la tente s’ouvre et m’explose à la figure. Je constate alors que l’un des picket s’est cassé lors de l’ouverture de la tente. Je la deconseille fortement materiel archi cheap. Les pickets et la toiles et je vous l’assure impossible rentrer la tente dans le sac maintenant va surement faloir je casse les picket pour la renvoyer dans une boite lol

recieved tent in winter time so didn't check it out until spring and found all the tent poles broken.wasn't able to use it at all.
