I have bought under padding many times and as you know most of it isn’t the greatest. However, I was quite pleasantly surprised by the quality and it was the perfect size and the price was decent. I would buy this under-pad again.

As advertised, nice soft and well shaped. 4 stars because one side edge of the pad is frayed, the three other sides are tightly cut.

This padding made my rug look and feel thicker. It also created more of a sound barrier between the upstairs and downstairs level. It definitely made a huge difference having the sponge underneath the thin area rug. It’s a little shock absorber when walking across it.

I wish I'd gotten this sooner. I moved from an apartment that required 80% coverage of the non carpeted floor with rugs, to an apartment with carpet. I didn't want to get rid of my rugs so just laid them on top of the carpet, but had really bad bunching issues. Now that I've laid these down the only bumps are the ones left over from being in that position for 2 years before I got this! I didn't notice a smell, it's fairly easy to cut to appropriate size. Wish I'd bought this sooner!!!
