I bought these locks to be able to open together or separate, the two halves of a newly installed stable door type of back door on my house. These are strong, being constructed of decent gauge wrought iron, which is a major plus factor for security, they are also attractive looking, which compliments the cottage feel that I was looking for.I could have paid almost as much for one bolt at other outlets, so to have two for the same cost, has added additional security. Very pleased and would purchase again when required.

Bought to use on a pub toilet door.The bolt is too easy to remove from its casting so cant use them for intended purpose.Great quality, although as a mechanical engineer, I dont think the single (photo shows dual) spring steel clip that presses the bolt upwards will last long. I could be wrong and being unfair, but if it lasts 12 months of daily use I would be amazed - then the bolt will be "sloppy" as it slides.Look great so for an olde worlde cupboard or non public area - would probably be 5 star if the spring clip lasts.

Yeah it looks pretty...but that is all it does. The piece that the bolt slides in to, is about 3 or 4 times the size of the bolt itself. So rather than a nice slid fit, it can move around loads backwards and forwards inside that space. So don't rely on it to keep the door (or whatever you have attached it to) firmly in place, it has sufficient space to move annoyingly to a fro inside that excess space. Basically you're gonna end up with a rattly gate/door in wind etc.UPDATE: one snapped in half, with minimal stress on it. Reducing rating to 1star (and even that's 1 too many)

These bolts are very heavy duty and feel strong.Sadly I had to return as the door and frame weren't quite flat so the bolt wouldn't slide. Also one screw missing from one pack.

Good quality cheap too for the pair

I got these to put on our 18th century mill door to look more authentic. They look good but the bolt spring is weak and if you are not careful it will come out of the runners. They weren’t expensive so for the money they are not bad but I think they could do with being made better, which wouldn’t take that much as the main parts are well made it just the spring and screws are very cheap
