It is beautiful and uses large index cards suitable for recipes The lid is not attached. I wish the lid was attached so that it would stay on the box when it is opened.

I only have one complaint about this recipe box. It came in dented on one side at the very top. The metal is thinner so I can see how it would have happened with shipping or along those lines. But my husband was able to get it straightened out so you can barely tell it came in like that. Other then that no complaints. I love the cards and the dividers it came with. They are sturdy and it comes with so many.

It's very cute but arrived damage. The box was dented and some of the divider cards were bent and torn. It's not that big of a deal for my personal use but if this had been a gift I'd be upset. For the price I expected better.

My old recipe box was falling apart so I purchased this as a replacement. The metal box is sturdy and there are many recipe index cards that I used to sort and file my existing recipe cards. This would also make a good gift for someone just starting out who wants to collect family recipes.

Be warned, if you want this to display, you may be disappointed. The box is adorable, but it is shipped in a manilla envelope instead of an actual protective box. Chances are high this thin metal box will arrive quite dented up as did mine as well as other reviewers. I wanted it to store 4x6 index cards since all the official index card file boxes are not at all attractive. I'm going to keep it - the cards still fit and it is more pleasing to work with than an office supply card file. Just know that not all of the dents were able to be popped out.

Bought this for my daughter she just got her first house and has been loving cooking in her own kitchen. At 23 she is old fashioned about recipes and believing they should be wrote down and not in your phone. She loves sunflowers and this has some in the design I chose, it shipped quickly and I was very surprised at how nice this set was especially for the price! Everything was nice quality and a nice size! This is not a small box so it has plenty of room for additional recipes. The refills are a great price too so that was awesome.
