Bruh. This was a game changer for me. I’ve recently been trying to get better at doing my makeup, (specifically because I’ve had more breakouts lately and need to cover them up without looking like a cake), and this did the trick for me. I was initially turned off because it’s a sticky primer, but once it dries it doesn’t feel that way at all. I apply it over a moisturized face and then let it dry all the way, and my makeup really applies nicely to it, covers evenly, doesn’t cake up, and stays all day (I work 12 hour shifts). I will be reordering when I’m out!

Only primer I've ever liked and will ever use!
I swear this stuff is magic. ELF really knows how to not only dupe something, but to make the dupe even better than the original! I rub and then really pat this in all over my face, let it set for a minute, and then it's lightly tacky/grippy and ready to go. It keeps my makeup in place for hours and helps it go on evenly and smoothly. I will literally never use another primer for as long as this one is being made, it's the ONLY primer that's ever done anything for my makeup! It grabs on to my makeup and doesn't let go!

its long duration
This primer has become a staple in my makeup routine. Its lightweight texture applies easily and leaves skin with a soft, velvety finish that doesn't feel greasy. It visibly minimizes pores and helps control shine all day, making it ideal even for combination or oily skin. It also prolongs the wear of makeup, keeping it looking flawless for hours without the need for touch-ups. It works well with both liquid and powder foundations and doesn't clump or clog pores. In short, it's an excellent ally for achieving a long-lasting, professional finish.

Great value, just know it’s tacky
So far I really like this primer. I’ve tried at least 10 different primers and they are all a little different. This one is for sure in my top 3. The price is a bargain. It is just sticky. So you have to tie your hair back before using or else your hair will be stuck to your skin. The packaging warns you. I find this annoying, but if the end results are good, who cares.

Hydrating, Reliable, and Perfect for Sensitive Skin!
I love this e.l.f. Hydro Grip Primer—it’s seriously amazing and has become my go-to. It gives great hydration without leaving my skin dry or patchy, and it helps my makeup stay on pretty well throughout the day. You really get a bang for your buck with this one!It also works super well on my sensitive skin, which is a huge plus. I’ve tried the red version with niacinamide before, but it made me break out. If you’re prone to breakouts like me, I’d definitely recommend sticking with this one instead. It’s gentle, effective, and works beautifully under makeup.

Game-Changer for My Makeup Routine!
I recently tried the Power Elf Grip Primer Gel, and I’m absolutely in love with it! From the first application, I noticed how smooth and velvety my skin felt. The gel texture grips onto foundation perfectly, creating a flawless base that lasts all day without fading or sliding off. My makeup went on so easily, and my complexion looked more even and fresh throughout the day. What I love most is how lightweight and non-greasy it feels—it's perfect for my combination skin. It also helps to minimize the appearance of pores, which is a huge bonus. Plus, it's affordable and the bottle lasts a long time, making it a great value for the price. If you're looking for a primer that truly holds your makeup in place and gives you a smooth canvas, I highly recommend giving this one a try. Definitely a must-have in my makeup routine!

Bought multiple it’s a slay
My sensitive skin LOVES this primer!! It’s grippy and sticky and makeup lasts all night (when I use good quality makeup) I use 3-4 pumps, warm up in hands then rub on skin, once it’s evenly on my skin but still wet I will then pat it into my skin you’ll see it gets stickier the dryer it is so let it sit for like 1 minute before applying anything else

ELF Primer
Not to bad of a primer if you're looking for a tacky primer that grips and holds your makeup for several hours. The consistency is almost serum like as opposed to a "gel", which is fine because it is quite easy to apply and glides on effortlessly. Once it's on the recommendation is to let it dry for roughly half a minute prior to using complexion makeup products. After the dry down the facial canvas is left with a slightly tacky surface which does in fact aid in longer wear time. It does remain tacky throughout the day and hair flyaways have a tendency to stick to the face, also after several hours of wear it starts to look a bit oily and breaks down. If you're out n about you may want to do a quick touch-up or give your face a light dusting of powder. This is the point where you start getting that feeling that all you want to do is get home and wash your face ~ at least this is how I felt and what I experienced.I gave this ELF PRIMER a shot because I wanted to see how well it helped the staying power of my makeup, and it definitely does increase wear time. Unfortunately, there's zero blurring capabilities and this is a must have feature for me. I applied the primer all over my face and let it dry down the recommended time and then went in and applied my blurring primer in the areas where I needed it the most, then proceeded with complexion application. End result with both primers gave me a nice end result.Overall, the primer works as intended. I'm less than thrilled with the break down after several hours and definitely not fond of my hair sticking to my face or the stray eyelash that dances on my face until it gets stuck. I will use it on the days I need staying power, aside from those days I will stick with my blurring primer for a more flawless finish.
