Perfect length for what I need them for!
I bought these cables to lock the cabinets in my classroom and keep my items from walking away and, so far, they have done their job. They are just the perfect length for cabinets. At first, it was not cheap, given that I had to purchase, not only the cables, but a set of locks for all 8 pairs of cabinets, but I see it as an investment ($68.44) that I only have to make once.

Very Strong and better than using twine or rope
These worked great for securing my shade sail to the posts over our deck. You can slide one end inside the other or slide them thru the pole eyelet and attach both ends to a carabineer. There are probably plenty of other uses for these as well but I recommend them for the purpose I used them.

Waste of money
Update. 2 of 4 cables have already broken. The loops at each end of two cables have already come un crimped. A good hay string is much stronger than this cable. Not a very strong crimp on cable loop. I was tugging against it trying to pull cable trough a hole in a plastic bin. I was only using a screwdriver shaft through the loop and pulling with my hands. It came out almost immediately and rendered cable unusable

Not Stainless Steel
These safety wires or strop are not stainless (they are magnetic as shown in the first picture). Furthermore the crimps are week and started to slip under moderate load (see right end of bottom strop in second picture - this is after holding the bow of my 90lbs dinghy on davits for a few days - the true stainless strops on the stern of the dinghy held fast without deformation).

12" total length, so only about 6" usable length.
The total length of the cables are 12 inches, so with the loop and crimp you get barely 6 inches of actual cable length to secure with. Too small to even wrap around the chin of my helmet.
