The Ultimate All-Around Stitch Dictionary: More Than 300 Stitch Patterns to Knit Every Way

Disappointed it wasn't spiral bound. Text and charts are a tad too small. New stitches are okay, but not really interesting to me. Great resource, both in the round and flat Knitting. Easy to understand, simple to use.

I have purchased many knitting dictionary over the decades. Some were donated when newer ones came to market. I regret buying some in an electronic version for my Kindle app on my iPad, as it is a time eater finding specific knitting stitch patterns. I prefer the ability to add Post-it tabs to pages and to notate. The prior book by a different author I purchased in print had only graphs. I detest graphs and prefer written directions. This book contains graphs, written descriptions for both knitting flat and round, along with photos. Thank you for an excellent book.

I love this book and appreciate alll the work that went into creating pattern instructions that address all options for the patterns-knitted flat and in the round and bottom up and bottom down. A real treat to use when you make your own creations.

I own each volume of the excellent "Vogue Knitting Stitchionary" series, and I never thought I'd find any knitted stitch reference book nearly as good as my Vogue set is. I was wrong. "The Ultimate All-Around Stitch Dictionary: More Than 300 Stitch Patterns to Knit Every Way" is excellent! Although not as complete, not only does it contain instructions for many of the patterns shown in the Vogue books, nearly each of the patterns includes instructions for both flat knitting and knitting in the round. As I have been knitting for 62 years, have taught many knitting classes, and have reviewed many knitting books, I feel I'm more than qualified to give a recommendation, and I highly recommend this book as a fairly complete reference book with patterns for all knitting levels, as long as you already know how to make the basic stitches, as the one thing this book does not contain are diagrams on how to do a knit or purl stitch, etc.

Like that there are so many different knitting stitches with very good directions for all of them.Would recommend this book.
