New Zealand milk is particularly wonderful and delicious
A long time ago I worked with people from New Zealand and they let me try some milk they brought back after a trip. I thought it was very odd until I tasted it. This milk is absolutely glorious. The cows in New Zealand only feed on grass and the grass there must be really special. The milk is so incredibly rich and full of flavor I would call it the beluga caviar of milk. The Jamon Pata Negra of Milk. This isn't just milk. It is a spiritual experience. I feel an incredible burst of really positive energy after I drink some. I use it to make all kinds of things that benefit from some milk powder and sometimes I just mix a glass of it with some cold water. It mixes so incredibly perfectly - that's another thing. It just dissolves into perfectly blended liquid in a few stirs and the thing is - I'm doing that with the coldest ice water I can possibly make just because I like it cold. Normally powder doesn't mix with very cold water. This just dissolves and then it is milk, no powder or grittiness of any kind. This is a gourmet/foodie product if you really have discriminating taste buds. I can't say enough good things about it.

Just got it today
So I ordered this because it already had good reviews. As soon as I got it I had to open it up and taste it. It mixed very easily with just a spoon which surprised me. Some powders are hard to mix in cold water - not this.It does have a taste. I'm very picky about milk in general. Some milk I've gotten (regular in a gallon milk from the store) has had a strange taste to me as well. I used to think that all milk had no flavor. However, in the past few years I've become aware that this is not true. I do not like the milk I drink to have a 'taste' to it or a smell. I just want it to be cold.I don't know why milk would have an odor or taste. But apparently some of it does & not all brands are just plain. Depending on where you live & what company you get your milk from you may have noticed this too. I don't know if this has to do with the breed of cow that is being used - or the food that they eat. Or even the way the milk is homogenized. Maybe a dairy person would know the answer to this. I'd love to know.In this case, there is a noticeable flavor to the milk. To me, it's kind of a sweet and floral flavor. Not bad. Just odd. However, even with that said, I can drink it. It's not so offensive to me that I'd say I'd never be able to drink that.I bought this for an emergency situation anyway. So, it's not like I'd be drinking it every day, all the time under normal circumstances. IMPORTANT: This can makes 2 gallons of milk. Do the math & think about that. If the price is 30 bucks a can then you're paying 15 dollars for 1 gal. on milk. That's right. At this point (March 2020) people are worried about the Covid 19 virus and are stocking up on supplies. So I bought this one can. Once you open it then it's only good for 2 months though So if I'm not going to drink it within that time span, it's kind of a waste - right? Just think about that. Knowing the shelf-life of your powdered milk or whatever you buy is important. Knowing how soon you should use it up AFTER opening is also important. Also, this milk is made from cows that live in New Zealand. However, the milk is then sent to Hong Kong, China for processing. Do you want to order products from China during this time? It's up to each person on what to do about that. At the time I ordered this I did not have that information - but it is on the can.As far as I'm concerned I think I'd rather have my dry powdered milk from America if at all possible. I did wash the can off prior to opening it up. And that's probably all you need to do. I'm not sure what the process is to dehydrate the liquid milk - but it may be done using heat anyway - which would kill germs. If there were germs.I only mention this for people who care about where the milk comes from and where the end product comes from. If you think about it - every country - including America, that has Corona virus cases will be scrutinized. It's just how it is now. Hopefully one day it will all be over. But It's good to be prepared....for anything.

Awesome
I have tried many powdered milks in the last few years and this is the best tasting. Rich, smooth, and the same slight aftertaste as fresh milk. It's pricey to be sure but it's very good. I used a whisk in a pitcher with half the cold water, then added the rest of the water and refrigerated. Zero lumps, completely dissolved.
