Clinical Anesthesia, 8e: Print + Ebook with Multimedia

The subject of the book is really good. It reviews nearly all aspects of medicine in general, including non-surgery aspects of medicine. I think this will provide students and doctors with solid ground for anesthesia practice. The videos are very helpful and if you choose to maximize them, I suggest going over them while you read. Surprisingly, the text is quite easy to read; the sentences are not that convoluted and the wording is easy. It's only 1700+ pages long but the amount of information is quite a lot for this book's thickness.I like this book, really. I guess, like other books, the information seems to be somewhat dated in some respects especially since this was written and published prior to the COVID-19 pandemic. The text seems a little small for me. The spacing isn't to generous. You might struggle with some eye strain from time to time.Overall rating: 4.75/5.00

Good used

I will be using the book throughout my anesthesia practice. Contains lots of visuals and provides valuable clarity. The book is really heavy to carry around on a frequent basis. So, I was glad that I bought the new book with ebook access code. The codes in the newest edition of the textbook as of 08/01/17 does not work on vital source platform. Vital source requires 20 digits numbers...but a short email to the publisher's tech support - Wolters Kluwer Health Learning ([email protected]) fixed it for me.I am extremely satisfied :)

The printed book is terrific and is of the high quality I've come to expect from Dr. Barash and colleagues. The book is exceptionally well written and edited making it a pleasure to read.The e-book is now available (finally) and is also a pleasure to work with. Fast search results with the associated page numbers makes referencing from the book very easy.

I bought this book as it was recommended as a good resource for my anesthesia residency. I decided to buy it new thinking it would be nice to have a brand new book to work with, but was very disappointed in the condition of the book I got. Not sure if the pictures were able to capture it well, but the spine of the book was clearly broken and all of the corners of the book were dented in. I realize that to some this may seem insignificant, but if I wanted a beat up book I would have gotten one used. I would return it but I don't want to wait for a new book to get sent back to me in order to start studying from it.
