Due to the design of the clock spring on the 1999 328i, you've gotta really TRY to make this thing work. Don't get me wrong, it is an issue of application and design changes between the pre-facelift and post-facelift models of the e46 and nobody is doing anything wrong if they purchase this product for a car within that chassis. That said, you do have to tighten the bolt down carefully and it will not bottom out like it should. If you purchase this product be willing to play with it to get it right, but the install is really easy as any other short hub for the e46 chassis would be. The product is worth twice what you pay for it and lines up perfectly with the NRG steering wheel that I installed with it, so no complaints. I only knocked a start because while it does fit the 99 e46, it is not perfect, but it is beyond "good enough".

I needed a steering wheel adapter for my race BMW 325i and this fit the bill. Well made and doesn't cost an arm and a leg to allow you to upgrade to a quick release steering wheel setup. It is properly designed to be used with a factory steering setup and would correctly do so, but all the factory stuff is just extra weight to me.

Not worth it at all get a name brand one. Mine seized itself to the steering shaft because the tolerance on the splines are waaaay to tight. Of course it’s out of the 30 day period so now I’m forced to write a review
