I use my phone for video camera work. For context, I bought a 1TB phone specifically because of that. I may take 250-300GB of video in one weekend. MTP is far too pathetically slow method to transfer such large amounts of video from my phone to my PC, and Cloud methods are not really any better. So, for such situations I usually use a portable media device such as flash drive or external NVMe to do the transfer. Copy it from my phone to the flash drive, copy off of the drive onto my PC. Fastest method by far.I have lately been using a NVMe USB enclosure for this purpose, but due to NVMe's (relatively) high power draw, I have to use a USB dongle with power input while making the transfer. Not the end of the world but far from convenient. In the past I have experimented with other USB-C drives, but they've all been far too slow in the write department to be realistic. You may have 300MB/s of read but if your write speed is a paltry 21-22MB/s, you're as good as useless for me. This was the case for the older Samsung USB-A flash drives, and even the newer USB 3.1 gray ones.This one, by contrast, is still not amazing on writes which is to be expected for a traditional flash drive, but it is FAR better than any USB-C drives I have used in the past. On very large transfers (100+GB) it usually settles down to around 75-80MB/s within the first 30 seconds or so, and stays at that speed for the entire transfer. Doesn't get too hot (just warm) and works well.Reads are excellent so far. On Windows I'm getting around 365MB/s continuously. The only real issue with this drive is on very large reads, it will overheat. It gets quite hot on these high speed reads and after around 75-80GB, mine disconnected and stopped the transfer. Thankfully Windows seems pretty good about file management and after it sits for a while and cools down, hitting Try Again seems to work reliably.Overall very happy with this drive. It's pretty darn small for 256GB, and fast enough that I can deal with it for the convenience of not needing to use any dongles.

Totally worth it in performance alone, but it really peeves me how the cap isn't secured on to the body right out of the package. I would have made it a flip-top or something. I use this to backup my phone with samsung smartswitch whenever I change my settings around and add apps.

I have to say this is the second flash drive I have owned this one works great! I download loaded 7,000 pictures plus videos music songs I also which was a surprise and went into my settings and used the external USB support for my phone and downloaded all my contacts and all my information and backed up my phone all my information all my apps on my phone numbers on my SMS you name it I was able to back it up indispensable for 128 gig this does great worth the cash worth the price and also has two little loopholes in the top s in the photo so you can put it on a key ring and take it anywhere try it it's easy to use though there's no instructions with it you could look it up on the net and figure it out quite easily I want everybody to know that you find the opening of USB flash drive in your Samsung file app make sure you format the flash drive it will ask you when you tap to open it once you format it it will close go to your pictures tap the pictures you wish to add to your flash drive go back tap the flash drive and hit add I'll leave pictures in the future if anybody has questions very simple I actually looked it up online it was a little confusing at first until I got the hang of it any questions email me I'll be glad to help note this works great on the Androids
